This bird is a really nice plane, it flys well but top speed is a little low. If you trash it, the foam can't be reshaped with hot water like epp and all the marks will stay visible (no memory). You can use the props for the at Corsair, they doesn't have exactly the same shape but they works well (11x6). I have uploaded Art Tech manual wich was available on old art tech website. Good plane for the money. Mine also arrived broken in front of the tail.

This is a very easy to fly and very good handling warbird. a typical 1300mah 3s lipo balances the cg spot on.

My only gripe is the color scheme, which makes it difficult to see the plane orientation, so it is advisable to add bright fluorescent colors underneath the fuselage and some fluoroscent paper/tape on the battery hatch cover.

Trust me you'll lose orientation without some clear indicator. The default paint scheme does not do well unless it's a very bright sunny day.

This plane is superb!! Absolute value and flies off of a simple 1300 mah turnigy 25c battery for almost 13 minutes straight! no messing with CG required. Stock power setup is VERY capable of delivering on demand power but, I recommend a 12x06 prop (more available than the 3 blade they give us) as you WILL break the two supplied props. Being my first warbird and proper plane (I had only the DIY foamies - ft flyer, nutball etc) I found this plane incredibly docile and I was doing loops and 8 point rolls on its maiden flight!! Stalls are very easy to pull out of and docile, however DO NOT PULL THIS INTO A DEATH SPIRAL!! I smashed my nose in half attempting to do a stunt and had not paid attention. I have had MANY MANY bad crashes, most of them which snapped my plane in two, but it still flies today with some hot glue and tape! overall a great plane, only 4/5 for quality as the landing gear was off centered on arrival but no problem, just bent it back!!!

This model is extremely good. It has plenty of power allowing unlimited vertical flight and is tough as nails. We have been using 12x6 2 blade props for spares as the 3 blade standard is much harder to come by. Using a 1500mah 3s fits fine and are in stock more often than the 1300. Overall i would rate this as highly as the turnigy bonsai or teksumo in terms of fun with long flight times and model strength.

I received the Spitfire today and I just unpacked it. The plane was well packed, double boxed within a Styrofoam cocoon. before I unpacked it I noticed damage to the fuselage, cracked almost in half just in front of the tail surfaces. Because I need to fly this in a couple of weeks, I have chosen to repair it myself rather than returning it for an exchange. I may hot glue it and then reinforce the exterior since this must be a weak point. I'm installing the Orange receiver with AS3X stabilization. I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

ARTTECH spitfire,
Very nice plane and mine arrived in good order no problems with a broken fuse etc.
Spinner I had to balance, prop was ok, and one nut for bolt too mount wing to fuse isn't glued in well.
I checked power with watt meter and found amp arround 20A with a 3S2000/40C charched at 50pcnt, so I think ESC20amps is to small and I replaced it with 30Amps ESC.
Nice plane for the money, this is my second one.

Wirklich empfehlenswert

It is a valueble and nice plane. I have bought two Spitfires, but with 2 of the same faulties. The fuselage was broken at the same place on both models, close to the tail. It was 2 weeks between the orders, so watch out for Spitfires from Netherland where I bought my planes. The damages must have occured when they packed the plane in the box. The tailwheel has a tricky place in the box that could be the problem when you put it in the box. Now HK is trying to do everything to blame me despite my video on youtube were I can show the problem and photos I send to them. Overall I must say that i like the plane very much and I like HK's valuable items and fast shipping.

Ordered from Aus WHS 21/4/13 delivered 23/4/13.brilliant service. Beautiful plane, easy to assemble.fitted HK 11x 5.5e two blade prop and maidened on ANZAC DAY. Fairly windy but the Spit flew beautifully but was a little slow. Have now fitted an HK 12x6e which should give the extra power hoped for. Thoroughly recommended.

This spitfire delivers what you might expect of it.

It looks nice, is easy to assemble although i do not like the way the elevator pieces are connected. You get some spare clevis and a spare three blade prop. The glue that came with the plane was useless. I just used hotglue to glue the horizontal stabilizer to the fuselage.

The power setup is easily powerfull enough for this plane, even the three bladed prop is sufficint and flies easy. The spinner and prop have to be mounted really tight and make sure they are on straight, otherwise this will give unwanted vibrations and loss of power.

Landing gear is nice, angled forward so even on rough terrain take offs are doable.

Al in al definitely a plane I would buy again, especially for this price!
