The new Limited Edition RED Thorax is a face full of attitude, this little mini hex is the best of both worlds using common sized batteries and FPV gear, but with all the agility and fun of a 250 class racer.

The Thorax is a 310mm FPV machine with built in sub-frame camera mounts and vibration isolated Mobius platform. Designed for 250 class power systems and 5inch props the beefy 4mm motor arms have all mounting options and can handle a range of motors from 1704~2206 class. There are a number of standardized mounting points for all your gear, including the 30.5mm FC points. The composite FR4 construction and design makes this a super strong and light weight at just over 200g.

The Hex gives you that extra lift needed for standard 2200mAH class batteries everyone has a draw full of and can lift full FPV gear with ease. The added efficiency of unloaded 5inch props and the bigger battery gives you a bit more air time fun as well.

The Thorax as the name implies, is in the middle of bigger cruisers and speed racers and is the prefect amount of different, and a whole lot of FUN.

Features:
• Vibration isolated Mobius mount
• Integrated FPV in frame camera mount
• 12,14,16mm and Tri motor mounting holes

I've been flying my red Thorax build since June this year and I like it very much. The frame is very sturdy and has survived MANY crashes with no frame damage. I purchased a spare set of arms when I first built it and have not needed to use them yet. I've been able to fly away from most crashes and finish races whereas other quad pilots are down and out after their first crash. I really love the redundancy you get with a hex (I've stayed in the air a couple times now after losing half a prop in tree branch collisions). In fact some members in my MultiGP chapter are calling me "9-lives" since I keep on flying after crashes.
My only complaint is the stock standoffs between the top and bottom plate are way too short. I replaced mine with black 35mm standoffs which gives me much more room inside for my stuff. I also recommend adding "Universal Nylon Landing Skid Set for Multi-Rotor Frames (Extended 100mm)" for the beginner pilot since these absorb a lot of shock on hard landings/crashes.

Very nice frame and very durable for the price! I am currently using the baby beast motors with 20a Afro esc's with the cc3d control board on 4s getting 9 minutes of flight time.

I love the design, first even if you lose a motor or an esc, the Hex can still fly. I did replace the stock body set-offs with M3-30mm ones to allow for my electronics and vertical connectors
