Wish you could know your Lipoly battery voltage while you are flying?
Want to be able to accurately know when your pack is about to drop voltage?

The New-&-Improved Hobbyking wireless battery tracker monitors your lipoly via the charge plug and sends back a signal to your reciever. Should one of your cells drop below 3.6v the LED for that cell will turn Red. Once the cell drops below 3v the LED will flash and the warning buzzer will beep, signaling you to land as soon as possible.
This unit is also a great way to find those batteries that drop voltage greatly under load.
The transmitter operates on 869.5Mhz FM band and can monitor 2S to 6S batteries.

Spec.
Transmitter Weight: 7g
Receiver Weight: 35g (this is the part you keep in your pocket)
Signal distance: Around 300-400mtr
Battery: 7.4V/ 2 Cell (Included)

Usage;
Ensure the hand-held receiver is turned on and you have selected the number of cells first. Once this is done, then connect the transmitter inside the plane to the batteries balance plug. If you do not do it in this order, the reading will be incorrect.

A fantastic product! I have used it in both an RC boat and a touring car. The boat uses a large brushless motor that can use up to 80Amps and the monitor was fantastic at not only showing the current voltage of the cells but under acceleration it was also useful to monitor the overall health of the individual cells in the lipo pack, showing clearly that a couple of the cells where dropping voltage compared to the rest of the pack.

I purchased this peace of garbage with great expectations, well at least with the expetation that it would work for more than 10 seconds. It seemed to work out of the box when i initaly tested it, put it away for a couple of weeks when i went to install it the reciever was completly dead. I maid sure it had enugh voltage , charged it to capasity and no love, the antenna broke off from the base of the unit and DEAD! save your money

Unfortunately, everyone is right. This is a terrible product. I ordered it with the hope that the reviewers just got a dud unit. Well, only 2 out of the 6 cell LEDs work. Surely the factory can have better quality control than this! HK, ditch this product.

This is really a terrible product. Not only were half the LED's burned out on the reciever when we got it, the transmitter seems to draw a lot of power from the battery.

I think you need to spend more for a decent solution.

On first times beeps occur after 2-3 minutes of flight (usual flight time for my plane is 10-11 minute). And now alarm and beeps starts immediately after fully charged battery connection. Fully unusable. Not recommended.

I would appreciate a LiFe version ! I guess the potentiometers are trims for voltage measurement of cells 3 to 6, but it's just a guess, I didn't test it.

The channel is selected by jumpers on the transmitter and the receiver. For the 869.5 MHz I bought, the jumpers J1 and J2 are closed, J3 is open. 3 stars only because it starts beeping when one cell drops under 3.6V, so it beeps almost all the time. Louder beeps that occur under 3V are enough.

Excellent product. Using a 2x3s>6s splitter you can monitor 2 x 3s batteries in either parrallel or series. I am personally using HK's TWIN PACK CHARGE LEAD to monitor 2 3s packs in parallel for the same price as a splitter - simply don't use the heavy guage red & black > deans connector for this application.
