Great ESC for 2S brushed, off-road rc cars with brake. Would be nice if it came with XT60 or similar connector and not a Tamiya one.

I have a bunch of these and I just ordered 3 more. I use these on a lot of modified cars or off road buggies and trucks, and I love them for drifting. I just replaced the ESC on my Traxxas Slash 2wd with one of these and a HPI Fireball 15t motor. I am using the 7 cell Turnigy battery which I know is over the spec of these ESC's, but the Slash absolutely flies and its having no problems whatsoever. I also replaced a few HPI ESC's with these on touring and drift cars with no issues and they give plenty of power for drifting. HIghly recommended! So cheap you can buy a few and have spares. I always keep at least 2 spares around as I like using brushed motors for drifting.

Good solid ESC for general bashing but also a great crawler ESC with a dedicated crawler mode with drag brake.

The speed controlling features work ok but it seems to require very precise stick position to activate the break. Sometimes the break fails. Should be a small amount of hysterisis around the mid-stick position. (Maybe one could add some expo to the throttle channel in the Tx.)

The BEC voltage is also way to high. Looks like voltage is the same as the voltage from the motor battery.

ESC works just as it should, programs just like the directions say. But the steering servo started going crazy, the car started glitching, then the steering servo stopped all together, all within the first battery pack of use. So I checked things out, and bam! Full lipo battery voltage coming out of the BEC. Fried my almost new servo! I know you can't expect much out of such an inexpensive ESC, but when it starts destroying other components, it is not worth it if it free...
