The Hobbyking Y650 Scorpion multi-rotor frame is a high quality glass fiber frame that offers both great looks and performance. Built from light weight yet extremely rigid glass fiber and aluminum, the Y650 offers a great combination of weight savings and strength.

The Y650's aggressive styling makes it look more like a deadly creature than a multi-rotor frame, while still offering excellent functionality and performance!

This multi-rotor frame is designed for use in the "Y-6" configuration utilizing 6 motors (3 mounted above and 3 mounted below). The user will need to use the "Y-6" mode on their multi-rotor control board which our Hobbyking multi-rotor boards support.

We offer a full line of multi-rotor electronics such as control board, ESC, motors and more, so it has never been easier or more affordable to get a multi-rotor in the air!

The Y650 frame also supports an optional camera mount. Please see last two photos for reference.

*Note:
The camera mount shown in last two photos is for reference only and is not included with the Y650 kit. It will be sold separately as an optional accessory.

The Hobbyking Y series also feature thicker GF main plates for added stength.

Really nice frame, this thing looks so bad! Be prepared to sand down a few parts as they seem to be far to tight-a-fit, but overall easy to assemble. The skids seem abit thin to carry 1500kg , and not sure they would take a hard landing. Theres plenty of room for the electrics, although I am using kk2.1 and could have with a few more mm height. Make sure you get extra 15mm spacers cause the set only comes with 7 and you will need another 6 for the motors. Really good overall.

For the price there wasn't anything wrong with this frame. It is sturdy but delicate. The scorpion tail is a nice option for mounting a white nav light and moving either the video transmitter or reciever to that location. I am running mine about 2000gram all up weight with MT2212-16 750 kv motors turning 12" props, double packing with 2 x 3300mah 3s batteries. It will hover test for about 13 to 17 minutes. Which is awesome for a 3s setup. I have the DJI Naza M V2 and Zenmuse H3-3D with a Gopro on it with the 5.8ghz fatshark, mini iosd. With the gimbals and video transmitter powered up the flight time is reduced but not by much. I love this frame for my first Y6 config/build. The thing flies like a stable beast with tons of power

The frame without electronics weight about 612 g. No instructions included. But you can download them from "files" section. The pieces do not fit together. You need to trim them...But for experienced builder that should not be a problem. I do not have all necessary electronics so I cannot tell you more at this time. Scorpion looks like nice frame so far.

This MR is always a crowd pleaser everywhere it goes. Mine has a NAZA M V2 as a FC with a Tarot T-2D gimbal carrying a GoPro Hero 3 . Just about to put on ImmersionRC VTx etc along with DJI MiniOSD. This thing really really flies unbelievably gracefully. Buy it....!

I just assembled this frame with all the electronics attached. I will discussed my experiences re: this.

First of all the build, while well turned, there were areas where I had to make adjustments with a small file so it would fit together well.

The metal parts are pretty poor quality to be honest. I had one small impact and the entire boom bent pretty badly. Also when I had a fall out of the sky, the entire thing smashed apart - including the individual panels ripped apart like cardboard.

It does look really good but has been very fiddly to fit together and I feel it's very fragile.

cool frame, a little heavy so might take off the top deck and all, but the tail's light so might keep that. motor requires different motor mounts to mount sadly, so not too sure how it'll go
