Looking for the perfect trainer? Or an in-expensive FPV platform? Maybe you are a club pilot looking for something you can just pull out of the car and fly on one of those lazy Sunday afternoons? The Hobbyking® ™ Bixler® ™ 2 ticks all of these boxes and more! The Bixler® ™ 2 retains all of the great features of the original Bixler® ™ but offers more in terms of all round capability courtesy of larger dimensions and several design improvements.

This version of the Bixler® ™ 2 comes completely "Ready to Fly". A 6CH 2.4GHz radio system comes pre-installed and a 3S 2200mAh lipoly battery w/charger is included. You will simply need to finish the assembly while charging the battery, power up the model and fly. It's that easy!

The Bixler® ™ 2 has all the right ingredients, made from super tough EPO foam, everything is pre-installed so minimal assembly time is required, in fact, by the time you have charged a battery, it should be ready to fly! The combination of size, low wing loading and a sleek fuselage make for an excellent model with capable yet forgiving flight characteristics. The plug in wing makes the Bixler® ™ a practical model that is easy to transport to your favorite flying field and can be ready to fly in just minutes. Another practical feature of the Bixler® ™ 2 is its ability to accept a wide range of Lipoly sizes and/or FPV equipment courtesy of the enlarged canopy area. The Bixler® ™ 2 also comes with optional flaps which are pre-hinged (servos not included) the flaps are particularly ideal for FPV pilots carrying a heavier payload. The final improvement was to re-design the boom area to allow the Bixler® ™ 2 use a low kv motor and larger prop combo, which is more efficient and offers a more linear throttle response.

The larger wing, flaps & much larger canopy area mean that the Bixler® ™ 2 is now so much more versatile in terms of FPV use and for new pilots and experienced pilots alike who are simply flying for fun, these new design features, combined with the larger, more efficient prop mean that the Bixler® ™ 2 offers longer flight times. However you decide to fly the Bixler® ™ 2, you can be assured that it is still just as easy and fun to fly as ever!

WOW big disappointment with this kit. Bought it because it was supposed to be ready to fly. The clutches were so tight I had trouble trimming the elevator out. Same problem with the ailerons. Wing cables were too short and had to add extenders. Radio did work and would not program so had to switch to another radio system. The plane flies great when you get passed the glitches. If I didn't have to send back to HK I would ask for refund. bought lots of Hobby King before but this time my experience was really bad.

VERY, VERY, VERY, good beginner plane! I would suggest at least a little experience on a sim or out at the nearest club for some stick time, but if your looking for a great, slow, plane than this is it! I have enjoyed it very much and will until something fatal happens. :) Hope this helps future beginners in their future, fun filled, hobby of RC aircraft!

Guys, I can't even write a review on this airplane. It's so good, beyond compare of any other plane IN THE WORLD. I added lights to mine, handled it fine. Added a GoPro, handled it fine. I literally call it "old reliable" ITS SO GOOD, you need to get it.... GET IT!!! Whenever I want a nice, relaxing flight, guess which plane I take out to show the friends and family? Old Reliable. By the way, no need for flaps on this bird.

Super nice flyer ! A tip : If you will use optional servos for flaps , DON'T hot glue or C/A them into the slots as said in the manual, if a servo burns up you wouldn't be able to replace it without damaging the wings....simply use some double sided tape to secure the servo and use normal tape over the servo.

This is the best plane for a beginner. The only dislikes I have are
1) The small cockpit opening once you moved past beginner makes it a challenge to add anything like FVP or OSD without having to cut open a new door somewhere
2) The wing attachment. Great if you have a car big enough to transport the plane fully assembled but if you have to take the wings on and off every time you go for a flight it's a nightmare
It's a great plane though so worth every cent to make up for the two issues above :-)

Great first plane! Great value! Easy to assemble, the 2 wing screws are a little hard to align. Only had a couple hours on a cheap simulator. First throw was the scariest. But it flew well and is quite stable. And glides awesome too.

Great, simply great. I love this plane and I am really enjoing it. It's great to fix and great to mod. The only problem I had so far was a broken servo after a month but I had some serious crash meanwhile. I really would advice the Bixler 2 to everyone. Now I am going to buy one for my father too!

got the plane a few weeks ago and storm have finally finished . flew it today as a first plane for me and had to spend an hr setting up the trim so it flew. did a figure and flew for a minute and then crashed. the two half of the plane split aprt cos of cheap glue but overall fun for a beginner
also very easy o fix if you have leftover glue ,paddle pop stick and some oldd rubber bands lying around
