I have a 3100Kv motor and they pair up wel.Awesome ESC. Works great in my traxxas rustler xl-5 on 2s. I cant wait to try 3s. It pops wheelies with the included speed gear with the turnigy xk-3650 3650kv motor. It is AWSOME. a great cheap upgrade.Thats the second X-car 60A I bought. The first is a couple of years old, and still runs great. I suggest picking up the USB cable. With that you can use HW and SP firmware and program that are way better than the original one. To change from HW, SP and HK firmware first downgrade to the older(not 100% sure this is the one) firmware on the list than use the appropriate program to upload the firmware wanted.
The first I run fanless on a SCX10 with a sensored turnigy 1855kV motor and 2s. Runs great, with lots of low speed torque control. When using the HW 3.0 firmware the top speed is way greater, but there is a delay going foward to backward. So, using HW V1.10_090323a_m. With this firmware the motor whines a little, but runs cool and strong.
The second ESC I am running on a slash 2wd with 3300 kV 550 can RR motor and battery. Tried v1.1 and v3.0 HW firmware and with the older one you get very cool motor/ESC and long run times, with the newer one, the car is stronger and you gain some top speed at the same gearing. The delay going foward/reverse is also present using brushless motors. With v1.1 firmware the ESC can be safetly run without a cooling fan. As I am bashing, I use v1.1Bought this ESC along with my HK Rattler. The ESC fried within 2 weeks. Literally melted it self. I was using a 3S Zippy 5000mah battery. With 2S battery it was ok, and probably wouldn´t melt if I kept using just the 2S
For what it's worth, the quality it has and the configuiracion options via usb, you can not ask for moreI have been using this ESC with the HW Firmware and it is excellent. You can use either Zero Boost Firmware ( which lets the ESC Blink in neutral as required by many racing series ) or use the full Firmware which also allows you to set turbo and boost timing. The ESC has a very good throttle feel to it.
I would recommend getting the USB Programming interface!I'm running it with a Turnigy TrackStar 7.5T Brushless Motor and it works flawless. I recommend to buy the USB Programming cable to benefit from very useful programming options. Great value for money!Used for few hours( buy from only few days) but very good esc.
Is possible change firmware ( like HW....the same) and work very good.
His firmware (original) is also ok for my car (no timing).
I have changed original firmware with no timing HW but pity ......if is possible i return to original firmware ..where i can find original firmware ????
Great value, functional, but one of transistors blew up after about 4 hours of use in a drift car. Also, the fan is somewhat loud.pretty good ESC for the money but has quite a big delay from stop to full acceleration. Other than that no issues.
