Now in its third generation, HobbyKing™ brings you the Bix3, the ultimate training airplane and FPV platform. The Bix3 is the biggest, most versatile, and complete version of its family lineage. Coming with removable landing gear, plywood FPV tray, plastic belly skid, and optional flaps, you can customize your Bix3 exactly how you want it. Looking for the perfect trainer? Or an in-expensive FPV platform? The HobbyKing® Bix3 is it.
The Bix3 has all the right ingredients; made from super tough EPO foam, everything is pre-installed so minimal assembly time is required. In fact, by the time you have charged a battery, it should be ready to fly! The combination of size, low wing loading and a sleek fuselage make for an excellent model with capable, yet forgiving flight characteristics. The snap together two-piece wing makes the Bix3 a practical model that is easy to transport to your favorite flying field and can be ready to fly in just minutes.
Other practical features of the Bix3 include the large battery area that can accept a wide variety of battery sizes or house FPV equipment, plus the Bix3 also comes with optional flaps which can help cope with the extra weight. We've upped the ante on the Bix3 by adding removable tail dragger landing gear including a steerable tail wheel. If you do not want to use the landing gear we have included a clear plastic belly skid to better protect the foam fuselage. Adding to the ruggedness of the Bix3 is a carbon tube that runs down the length of the aft fuselage, all the way to the tail wheel, so snapping a fuselage in half is a thing of the past.
For the FPV junkie, we have included a option plywood fpv mounting tray that replaces the stock sport canopy. This tray is perfect for setting up a camera with pan and tilt. For a fixed position camera, the nose is removable, able to accept small 1 inch square form factor cameras.
The larger wing, flaps & much larger canopy area mean that the Bix3 is a much more versatile airplane in terms of FPV use and for pilots who are simply flying for fun. However you decide to fly the Bix3, you can be assured that it is just as fun and easy to fly as ever!

This was my 1st every fixed wing plane. I liked it so much I bought another. Plenty of space in the front for a large battery.
I have the Turnigy Aerodrive motor with 40amp plush ESC. The plane has plenty of power and flies extremely well! I now have a decent size fleet of fixed wing planes but still favour the bix 3 as its simply great to fly FPV.
The kit is very easy to build and there are loads of tutorials and mods all over the internet.
As alway, with Hobbyking the delivery from the UK warehouse was extremely fast and excellent service! This plane is no where near as good as the bixler 1! I was really looking forward to getting the plane but it is such a handful to fly! the bixler 1 was great fun but the bix3 is like a punishment!
THIS PLANE IS NOT ARF - it is a kit!
not very impressedNi more than an average plane. Great f beginners but even the beginner wil become bored with it. It does make an alright fpv platform for someone interested in getting to that portion of the hobbyThis is a great plane to learn on. This was my first plane and it was amazing. I then switched it over to a FPV plane and it does that too! It has a lot of room inside of the fuselage for whatevery your needs may be. I put a 3s 4000mah battery in it for extended flight times.Nice model, but not precisely made: alluminium rod is suppose to fit into wings reinforcements, well...NADA! it is 0.1 mm to thick! no way to assemble the wings without exploding the wing reinforcements! This thing needs repairs before even having an occasion to crash!
Otherwise motor mount does not seem very well fixed to the structure of the plane, I'm not 100pcnt certain but it looks like it could move a little on its axis.
But generally the model looks good, in my opinion worth 40$ not 70-ish of ARF.this plane is fantastic. the bix3 can handle anything you throw at it. i've strapped gopro's to it, mobius action cams, all sorts of equipment in all sorts of places. it doesnt even seem to notice. beautiful for fpv. i've modified it out to my hearts desire. 3536 1400kv motor, 8x6 sf prop, 50 esc, frsky L9R receiver, 600mw video tx w/ built in osd/gps, pan and tilt camera on the nose, and two 3s 4000mah in parallel as my flight pack. she flies several miles out and still glides great with all that weight. great plane design bixler, you know what your doing. very impressed. This plane is just so good for anyone, Beginner/experienced flyers
The ARF lets you use the smallparts cnc mount without breaking the whole plane. A very nice plane 5/5tough trainer. but replacement parts can be hard to purchase as it is always in backorderThis is one of the best "out of the box" FPV planes you'll find. Many spend countless hours re-enforcing this and that but it's really unnecessary. Build it to fly, not to crash. The only mod you may want to do is carve out the landing gear area for a bigger battery. Otherwise you are good to go for 30 minute FPV flights.
Btw, get the kit so you can use your own top notch gear. The RTF, as in most RTF's use crap components. Good luck and happy flying!
Vielen Dank an Hobby King
