The unique and quite brilliant Hobbyking Racer series has been developed with two things in mind....high performance and massive amounts of fun!

The good looking airframe is made from super tough EPO foam and is heavily re-inforced with CF rods, each version is nicely finished in an authentic color scheme. One of the first things you notice with this series is the nicely designed modular construction, the wings and horizontal stabilizer literally snap together making assembly and parts replacement simple and fast. No glue is required for assembly, the vertical stabilizer and tough under-carriage simply screw on and the servo's, high power motor and ESC are all pre-fitted. When you look around these brilliant models, you can see that they have been built for performance, not only are they fast...they are also superbly aerobatic! The large control surfaces for instance are fully hinged, the tail assembly has been designed to cope with high G, high speed aerobatic's, not to mention the odd less than perfect landing, the wheels are proper rubber and can cope with suprisingly rough grass strips and if you want to hand-launch, no problem! these brilliant racers fly out of your hand like a scolded cat!

All of the H-King Racer Series offer breath-taking performance combined with great looks, toughness, a clever yet simple design and excellent quality construction, all at an affordable price. Great fun flown on their own and simply brilliant flown with your buddies, the H-King Racers will keep you grinning all day long, just make sure you have plenty of Lipoly's to hand!

Wow this plane is hard to fly! I have my rates turned down extremely low, and still crashed immediately. First two crashes where pretty hard but the plane held up, third not so much and snapped the fues in half. I'll get it fixed up and try again. So far not so fun

Got mine in on Friday, assembly time for an experienced modeler is 15 minutes. The molding of the plane is clean and smooth. Parts fit together well. The prop needed balancing of course. The stall current draw is 32 amps. So the cheaper 4S 1800 20C packs will work just fine. The watt meter shows 450 average. Took it out to the club field on Saturday and after some minor trim adjustments it was tracking very well. It is a very durable and survivable plane! The club radar gun showed my fastest pass at 73mph. Not as fast as I hoped, my old GreatPlanes Super Sportster will do 79 on 3S packs. Experienced pilots wont need to bother with DR or expo but I do not recommended this series of planes for beginner or intermediate pilots. It's small and agile and a blast to race around a 150 foot track with your friends, We have three at the field now and hope a few more guys pick them up.

(Mega wing tip stall at slow speed) good well built little model though! very fast on 4s but its a twitchy little thing so watch out. The moray is a pussycat compared to this little thing the moray is faster to fly but is stable at slow speed. slow this little mxsr down to much and it drops its wing the build quality is good but if you don't have a bowling green to land on take the wheels of it.

This is not by far high performance. At most will qualify as a fast airplane. Without proper handling and setup this thing flies like a brick..because it is a brick! One of the hardest airplanes to fly. High wing loading means high speed, stalls in turns, fast approach, difficult to take off with the wheels on. Definitely not a beginner's airplane nor an intermediate's..experts only. I ended up using 60pcnt rates with 45pcnt expo! needs constant throttle, turns must be engaged with increased speed. landing is almost impossible with the stock landing gear. I flew on 4s 1.8 and 3S 2200 both with high C rating. On 4s flies fast but not as fast as expected. It pulls about 450W but stays way under 100mph so..unimpressive. On 3S the throttle needs to stay at 70pcnt to achieve some controlled-fun flight. Very sensitive on all axis and the quality lacks this precision.
I cannot and I will not recommend this product...I can only hope that with a stabilizer and without the landing gear will behave differently. Look on you tube for xyz aerial channel and the true the review of this airplane.

Its a five crown plane, if the quality of the motor (small off size threaded shaft) was a bit better. Nearly impossible to balance the provided spinner, and since it's a high kv motor that's not good. With a motor upgrade (1200KV Himax plug and play), and the addition of an aluminun prop nut, 7X6 or 8x8 APC prop, it's a real rocket ship!!!!!!! Make sure you have your dual rates set, I'm at 25pcnt on low and 40pcnt on high with 15pcnt Expo and on high rates it will keep your attention. Keep it close, great verticle with the 8X8 and my set up!!!!

WOW!
I'm glad I purchased this little beast.
Built in 10 minutes, you just need a screwdriver (provided in the box), clip the wings together and you're done!
I maidened it with a Turnigy nano-tech 4s 1800mAh and COG was spot on, at about 45mm from the LE.
I'm not a pro pilot at all but I can say it flies very well and turns on a dime not to mention the roll rate with full aileron command, stall speed is totally acceptable and I could belly land it with no problem.
This model is a keeper!

Just got mine yesterday and it goes together in less than 20 minutes! I flew it yesterday arvo... what an awesome plane! This is extremely fast out of the box on a Turnigy Nano-Tech 1600mAh 4S and balances well with the battery right forward. I had my Dual Rates dialled down to 50pcnt with 30pcnt expo and it was still super twitchy! The only thing with this plane is you need a hard surface to take off as the wheels are small and the wheel pants will catch on grass. A cricket pitch is plenty big enough to take off. This beast will fly vertical until it runs out of power too! Totally awesome sports plane but not for beginner or intimidate pilots! It will fly at a reasonably slow/medium speed for easy landings on the 1600mAh as it's not too heavy. That's why I went for this battery. I had my Orange Rx glitch on me and put mine into the grass 5 minutes into the first flight... not happy about that and it should epoxy back together ok, but everything else is 5 Crowns! Like the description says... "Tonnes of fun and will put a smile on your dial!" Highly recommended for experienced pilots! Thanks HK for another great value for money plane!

Shipping form the German warehouse crazy fast & cheap ($4.75 just 3-days from order to my door in Berlin, the tracking link provided did not work though.)

Have not maidened yet, just tested the electronics. esc works fine after setting throttle travel. The elevator servo does not seem to have full travel but I had already planed on upgrading them all to digital so no real issue for me. I heard lots of reports of this plane being prone to sip stalling at slow speed due to the high wing-loading. I'll be using the EagleTree guardian so I hope to tame the low speed handling. won't be able to maiden for at least a month (maybe longer depending on weather) I'll put up a comment on how she does with the Guardian when I do.

5 stars for speedy delivery and exceptional packaging (with manual.)
