This handy little device allows you to charge your mobile phone, USB keychain camera or any other 5V USB device at the field with a 2~6S Lipoly battery. It uses the balance plug (JST-XH) from your Lipoly battery for power. This device also doubles as a cell voltage checker thanks to the on-board LCD display. Low-voltage input protection will shut this device down should the input source voltage drop below 3V. This prevents critical over-discharging of your input battery.
• Compact size
• 2~6S Lipoly input
• 5V/1000mAh USB output
• Convenient field charging of your mobile device
USB Output: 5V/1000mAh
Input Voltage: DC 7.5~25.2V
Cell Checking: 1~6S Lipoly
Input Cut-Off Voltage: 3V per cell
I use this to run my heated back brace which draws about 0.75amps and I get 5-9hours out if a 3s 2600mah lipo. It's been a godsend for me as it means my USB powered heated brace lasts longer than with the 4 AA's in the special case to run it which only lasts an hour. Phone charging usually draws at least 1amp if not more-if charging a cellphone I wouldn't use it while connected and probably turn the wifi off etc to minimize the power draw (which may well be why people have had issues charging phones. I hope they get them back in stock at Global soon cause I want another-love the LVC too. 5 stars from me.Well I got this little cleaver thing in the mail some time ago. An now I have used it at an all week Airsoft event for charging my phone. DAM It gets HOT !!!! When charging new smart phones the charger got VERRY hot eaven with a 2S 2200mah lipo ... Personaly I cooled it down using my cold hands, and it was enough that i could charge the phone enough to keep it alive during the hole week ... So thumbs up for keeping my phone alive :-) But I don't thing i will eaver try to fully charge a smartphone with a 3 s battery .. I think it will get to hot ... But it doubles as a battery tester, so that's acturaly verry nice because it shows both individual cell voltage level plus total voltage level ... a verry nice feature..... Plus it's small :-)works perfectly on my 3 and 4 s packs.I have it 9 months ago and I've used it several times to charge the phone in output weekend without problems until today, at home, has burned ... it has gone smoke and smelled burnt. The phone and lipo smoothly, the voltmeter works but the chip that regulates the USB output has been burned.
Opening it I found that the cooling plate chip has no ventilation in the field and has worked well in winter but this time, at home and on a hot day is burned due to lack of refrigeration.
The design should have grooves for the cooling plate work in good condition.Works fine as a voltage tester and works as a USB charger from 3s, maybe 4s batteries.. BUT if you use the USB charger function when connected to a 6s LiPo it get hot and burns itself out. No doubt it has a linear regulator inside which isn't rated high enough to step down from 25V to 5V under any load.
If you dont use 6s batteries then you will probably have no issues.good and clever item!Works as advertised but eventually burned out and ceased to function when charging my mobile from a 6s LiPo. Seems like it's safer to use 3s or 2s batteries.this is great! every rc hobbyist have a bunch of batteries. in the field this is incredibly useful little gizmo.Muy prctico para comprpbar las bateras pero sobre todo para cargar el mvil o la tablet fuera de casa pero la salida de 1000 mA no es cierta, solo carga a 640 mA, aunque es suciente para la mayora de los usos.I bought this item .. It compact and nice. for my discharging Lipo battery after few day not using . Testing 2s to 4S lipo battery it ok for charging my Hand phone and Ipad. But when i using 6S battery not coming to 5 min it burn and smoke come out.
Very bad Item
