The Holybro Telemetry Radio provides an open source radio platform at the right price. It is small and lightweight for fitting into most aerial platforms. This model uses the 915MHz band and provides a range of over 300m straight up. With the different antennas, the range can increase up to several kilometers.
Using open source firmware allows the radio to easily work with a number of platforms such as Mission Planner, Copter, Rover and Plane. It is specifically designed to work with MAVlink.
