put this motor in my F-18, added heat sink, running plush 40 esc with 3s1p 1300 40c lipo, on a gws 64mm 6 blade fan

test results:

amps, full throttle: 38a peak

watts: 412w peak

did not do a thrust test yet, but it seems impressive, the heat sink should help cool the motor, the motor I have is under the Turnigy name, B2040-4850, will test fly the plane today, the original motor was a Arttech 4300 kv, same diameter as this one, it was not very impressive just did ok, we'll see how the B2040-4850 works out

Absolutely awesome performance.
I am using it on a Grupner mini Discus 2CT, with the stock folding CAM prop that comes with it. All up weight around 300 grams.

Fast climbs and nice glides. This motor fits PERFECTLY into the Graupner Motor Pod, so you can replace the stock brushed motor.

Draws about 34 amps, but delivers a lot of thrust.

Installed this motor in a Hyperflow fan unit in a converted Funjet. It worked great, but on the 4th flight the motor quit and upon landing the plane the 35 amp speed control caught fire. The speed control didn't turn out to be the problem. The top cap of the motor, which screws on, came unscrewed from the motor case allowing the torque of the motor to twist the motor case and the three wires to the point that they shorted against each other and caused the speed control to ignite. Luckily the plane only had minor melting damage, but the motor is shot. Make sure you secure the top motor end with locktite. Other than that I was very pleased with the motor on a 3 cell 1550 pack.

Put in a GWS 55mm fan and got 27a. ESC failed at the field before flight, but should be nice and fast!
