Very good motor. Runs smooth, delivers stunning performance. Pulls 27A with 5x5 prop on 3S/1300 battery.

My small speed plane (650 gr) plane flies well over 150 kmh with this motor and even accellerates in unlimited vertical climbs. The motor warms up to between 50 and 60 C after a 4 min flight, which is acceptable, but requires a few minutes of cooling down. So does the pilot.

I have this motor in my little mini cat 20'' .With a water jacket, and a 35 Turnigy marine speedcontrole, and a Turnigy1.5 3s/3cell 11.1v bat all from Hobby King .With three runs at the lake everything is going fine. The motor was getting hot but with a waterjacket temps are down, and its running good.

Thanks HobbyKing

Makes a great motor upgrade for a Multiplex Easy Star. I have built 6 and they all perform very well.

You get what you pay for. I installed this motor in a Zagi XS and it only lasted 8 flights. Had great power and speed while it lasted.

Here's the set up:Zagi XS 48"w.s.

Turnigy 2858/2700 Kv In-runner

Hobby King 40amp ESC

Turnigy 2200mAh 3 cell 20C

Master Airscrew 5.5x4 Electric Prop

I've used this motor for a brushless conversion of a small electric boat (Aquacraft Reefracer2) with a Turnigy Marine 35A controller and 3-cell A123. Very happy with the quality of manufacturing and the power. Way more than the hull was design to handle!

Install it in my FunJET, with 5x5 prop, drawing around 24A static. Average speed of about 125km/h using WAVEosSCOPE. Motor and pack warm after 3 min all out run. FUN!

I'm using this in MPX EasyStar instead of stock 400 brushed motor. With 5.5 x 4.5 prop it takes about 22 amps from 3S lipo.

I cooked one of these in two minutes using a 7 X 4 pusher prop on an Aeroworks Bede 5B. Three cells, 40 Amp ESC. I have another on the business end of a 400 gram Projeti wing with a 5 X 5 pusher on it, same battery, same ESC, a blue HK. The Projeti was clocked at 114mph a few weeks ago, and today at 102. The amps on the 7 x 4 were 32 and with the 5 x 5 it read 28, not much difference. One cooked, one didn't. I love the motor, and take responsibility for frying it. Use a smaller prop! I have a 2200 coming and another 2700 for the Bede. The ones with the heat sink. Hope they fit. Five stars
