This motor is awesome. My config is 4S 35C 1800 mAH, 40A Plush, 5x5 TGS prop. Have had to End Pt Adj the Throttle of my 12FG down to 40pcnt to limit @45A WOT. With this setup my FUNJET ULTRA accelerates vertically out of sight!!!! I couls try 4.5X4.5 but!!!!!! Great motor!!! Using the limiting, motor is V warm on LDG after 8mins, but longevity should be OK.

I am using this motor with 3s 2200mAh 25C LiPo batteries and 40A ESCs, in both an EasyStar and a SkySurfer (or Bixler as HobbyKing calls them). Very good performance with an APC 5.5x4.5 prop, and out of this world with a Master Airscrew three-blade 6x4. It turns 21,100RPM on the bench with the MA three-blade, and can climb straight up out of sight. But a 1/2 throttle I've gotten a 26-min flight on the SkySurfer, while doing gentle climbs, occasional stunts, and two 10-second vertical blasts. An excellent motor for those planes, for both gentle flying and for wild&crazy. It would probably deliver high speed in horizontal flight, but these two planes aren't built for that so I haven't tried.

I have mounted this motor on a stryker F27c. the setup was a turnigy 2200mah 3cell lipo, 60amp turigy plush esc and the hxt motor. Well with 4.75*4.75 after 3 min flight motor stopped and landed. the motor was extremely hot. After some hours i tried a 6*4 prop and in less then a minute motor stopped again and again extremely hot and motor caput! What am I doing wrong?

I purchased this and mounted it on a stryker f27c. I had this setup, 60amp plush esc, 2200mah 3s 20c turnigy battery and the 2835-3900 motor. esc and motor got extremely hot with 4.1*4.1 prop. tried a 6*4 prop and killed the motor. have I done something wrong?? Was the motor defective????

Best motor for 68mm 6 blade edf. 55 amps using turnigy 4s 40c. Makes TWM J10 into a true fighter jet. My jets currently run all turnigy and HK products. My jets are fast and reliable!

This is a great little engine. I am using this on my Funjet (original funjet - not ultra) and have had no problems. The engine is not getting hot at all. I'm running:

- 4.75 X 4.75 prop

- 80amb Turnigy Plush ESC

- Turnigy Nano-tech 11.1v 3000mah battery

- Turnigy Digital high torque bearing servo 16.2g/3.1kg/.16sec

I am very happy with all the gear I have purchsed from Hobbyking!
