This is a great way to avoid power shorts.

Gold connectors on their own are notorious for creating a short circuit and looking messy. Use these to keep your connections safe and looking neat!
An excellent replacement for Deans T-connectors!
Good for wire up to 10AWG thickness.
Easier to solder and a stronger connection than Deans T-plugs
I use these connectors on all my battery's & esc's easy to solder & click in to place if you use a spare connector to push the soldered one in to the plastic plug then is so much easier.I bought these plugs so that I could match those that came with my new NanoTech LiPo cells and they have proven to be much better than Deans plugs - and a lot easier to plug "in and out".
They have one problem insomuch that when soldering them onto a lead the red sleeve has to be fitted onto the lead first, and then after the gold plug has been soldered on the sleeve is then pulled down over the plug to snap into the plugs grooves to make a secure fit.
This sounds OK but a very strong "pull" is needed to get the sleeve to snap into place so this makes it tricky to fit onto a speed controller ( for example) as the relativity short pre-fitted leads don't give much to hold onto when pulling the sleeve over the gold plug.
The risk of pulling the lead out of the speed controller ( or other device) is a concern and needs to be approached with care.
I have found that if enough wire is exposed to grip it into a soft jaw vice then it can be done (with care) but if not a short conversion lead may be an easier option to make up and I have found this option to work very well.Great connectors, 4mm gold plated should handle 80A without significant heating. Even better still, we can use them for the battery and for the esc, unlike the XT-80's, which come in two sexes. Full 15 points for this product.Good connectors, will be using this to my ESC because i dont want to change the plug on my Lipo batteries.Good connectors, easy to solder, simple to work with. only downside is the plastick Qualyty, after long usage it start to be unbendable and easy to crack.I like this connector, better than T connector/Deans. Since i use it in 1/10 and 1/8 i don't have problem so far.Go together easily. Max cable size is 10AWG worked perfectly. Thumbs up from the RC Model Geeks.Great quality and a great price. Never had one of these fail on me in 4 years of use. This connector have a good quality. The price is cheap for 10 pieces. Very easy to solder. The plastic seems to be solid. All batteries and cables with this sort of connectors i bought elsewhere fit perfectly on each other, but are not compatible to this one. They are slightly too big! If you're going to use the HK connectors only, luck is on your side, but not if you want them to use with standard ones. The Gold connectors are ok though.
