In the first month of owning my Ifly-4 I thought the arms were well designed...until I learned how to actually fly and not just hover or go back and forth at a few mph....now of all the arm designs I've seen, I think these have to be some of the worst when it comes to durability of the motor mount area. At a glance the arms look bulletproof (and the actual arm itself up to the motor mount cup is), nice quality material, lots of strengthening cross bracing everywhere, great fitment to the center plates and motor/ESC...BUT If you look closely at the "cup" that holds the motor, it's only attached by two thin spots of plastic due to the hole that the motor/LED wires go through. This makes the super strong gussets/reinforcement arm super weak at the motor cup/arm joint and it always breaks there during any moderate to high speed/altitude crash. Sometimes the arms break even when the cheap plastic props stay intact! This is definitely the weak part of the Ifly-4 (mechanically, don't even get me started on electrical issues). It almost seems like the engineers designed it to break arms just to sell more replacement parts. I'm not saying these are fragile like glass...they will stand up to most "beginner" fliers that aren't going to nosedive into the ground going 15 MPH at 12 inches AGL, and it is marketed as a beginner quad....just remember to buy extra arms if you plan on doing more
