Great plane kit, good for 1st time flyers, as is cheap to repair and if unable to repair, easy to buy a complete kit again.

This was amazing....for $20! its a bargin and the quality is much better than I thought....went together real fast spent couple hours on it and its ready to go, most time was spent making a motor mount Which i used a aluminum piece, Turgnigy 1600kv with 25esc, running 8*6 and a 25C 3C 1300mah pack. Was thinking putting Alirons but left it as it is...being an experienced flyer felt bit odd not having alirons but it such a gentle, predicatable flyer very relaxing and fun! with that 1300 it made the C.G spot on! flight times is about 10mins coz only lowest throttle is require keep it up....but packs a punch when throttle on, loops, stall turns holds inverterd pretty good...10/10 from me:)

Ok, I flew it today for the first time. It was very very good!
There was more than a little wind but the plane did very well. No surprises, cuts through the air with little effort. I chose the following setup:
2 x tower pro 9g servo
NTM28-26A 1200kV brushless motor
8x3.8 prop (came with plane)
Hobbyking SS 25A ESC
Turnigy Nano Tech 1300mAh 25C-50C battery
OrangeRX 6ch RX (with satelite)
Orange RX3S flight stabilizer (I really recommend this)

This setup may be a bit heavy but it also steadies the plane, if you want a sporty plane you should get a lighter setup. My goal was stability.

I received this plane this week. It was the last one in stock and I had to wait a bit because it was a JIT-item. I never built a plane before, so I spent 2 evenings putting it together. It came with very nice instructions and with very few parts it was easy to put together. The quality is very good considering this plane is only 20 bucks. All the pieces fit nicely and the military paint job looks really good. There is a bit of over-spray on the white and black bands on the wings and tail, but it doesn't bother me. I personally think the military theme works even better when it's not to perfect. Army stuff is supposed to look a bit worn and used.
The only parts I'm not happy about are the propellers. Lots of molding flashes and warping. I suggest you order some decent props with this plane. Originals are 8x3.8. A 9" prop will also fit. A 10" may touch the ground on landing if you're not extremely careful.
For the electronics I ordered a NTM28-26A 1200kV motor (a bit overkill maybe) and a hobbyking SS 25-30A ESC. I plan on using a 3s 1300mAh lipo, because I have a few of those. I cut a piece out of the battery compartment to slide the battery forward so the CG is correct. I'm using the orangeRX spektrum compatible receiver and satelite. When I get it up in the air I will post another review.
For now, all I can say is buy this plane! You can't go wrong for 20 bucks. Do expect to p

good flying characteristics easy to assemble kit complete with everything you need, the only weak point the material very rigid and fragile to shocks. good convenience considering the price

The one difficulty with setting up this kit is making your own motor mount. For a propdrive 28 series, you will need about 30mm of spacing from the firewall to the motor. It launches easily, is very simple to fly, and landings are nice and slow. I crashed mine today after letting it get too far away, and all it did was pop the landing gear out of place. The Foam is cheap and light, and breaks rather easily, but the loads are so low that you needs to step on it or something to break it. Overall, loads of fun, worth double what HK charges, and great for beginners who want a little bit of building before they fly.

This really is a great beginner plane. I set it up with a 2410 tower-pro, 11.1 1100mAh Lipo, 9x7 GWS prop & 20A ESC. It is a bit tail heavy, so I mounted the motor on 12mm metal standoffs, brought the GC to about 40mm from the leading edge, no additional weight needed.

Flying this thing is a real joy, its easy (I am very new to this sport). Easy circuits, figure8 etc.. and landings are no problem. Hovers around at about 40pcnt throttle

I will keep flying this as a 3ch, and probably add ailerons at some point in the future. I am also going to get another kit for spares.
