After 5 minutes of use with 11,1, and 40amp esc, in a hyperflow edf I managed to fry an egg with it. It gets really hot
powerful though

When testing this motor, I used a small 4" prop and 18A esc 3S but did not secure the motor with the shaft end plate as i did not have small enough screws. The motor finned housing heated up over 15 seconds (not much tho) and expanded. This in turn let the shaft end bearing housing/ mount to let go at a great rate of knots and slam into the roof, spraying bits of prop and armature down hard! Got it back together with some CA. Pretty powerful.

good motor for boats too! I use it in ECOmini boat with self-made water cooling system (watercooling is tube which glued to two side fins - inner fins are removed)

Put this in a Electrifly L-39 Hyperflow fan to replace the stock motor that went south on me after 5 flights. Runs super strong and gets 230 Watts at WOT compared to the stock Ammo motor which was getting around 140 Watts. Gets hot and drawing about 22 amps at WOT. Excellent price!

Plenty of torque, but beware the mounting end doesn't unscrew from the heatsink No cogging effect as there are no metal stator poles, only a thick tubular winding. Too much power for my 250mm long jetboat on 3S, barely ok on 2s

Graham.

I used this in a Hydro& Marine King cobra, which is a micro mono raceboats. It is only 41 cm long and with this motor and a 25A turnigy ESC at a 2S 1800 mAh Turnigy Lipo it runs nearly 60 kph, which is around 37 mph !
