Im running this motor in a Losi SCTE 4x4 short course truck with a 100A hobbyking ESC, 13t pinion 40 spur, turnigy 5000mah 40c and zippy 5000 30c batts.

its got plenty of grunt to move this 7lb truck and does so with ease.

2s is plenty for this motor, with 4s its absolutely INSANE!!!

i would recommend a lower KV motor for other shortcourse racers so you can gear it up if you need speed and not have to worry about temps. after about 10 mins of HARD speeding around, lots of full throttle its temp was about 145*F.

This motor is pretty much perfect for short course applications, i've used mine with a HK150A esc in sensorless mode in my jammin scrt10, i get a bit of cogging but thats to expect when you run sensorless. I've run through 3 5Ah and 1 5.2Ah 2s lipos in a row and it stayed below 40 degrees Celsius through the whole run, impressive! Power is comparable to Tekin or novaks 550 can motors, even on high traction surfaces like asphalt it spins out of control if i pull the throttle. Fit and finish is really good, they include 3 4mm bullet connectors to solder to your esc. Can't think of anything bad about it, was gonna upgrade to a tekin later but this exceeded all my expectations so i cant see any reason to change it, def 5 stars!

Perfect motor for Slash 4x4. It fits without modification and without moving the stock speed control. This motor will allow you to keep pace with those high priced SCT 4x4 brushless systems, and because you can keep all of the stock electronics your vehicle remains waterproof for bashing in snow or wet weather. With a 17t pinion on 7.4v my Slash 4x4 reaches over 50mph and has more torque than your tires can handle on any surface. For warmer weather I do recommend a clip on heat sink for the motor as well as a fan for the ESC just to be safe, though I haven't had any issues with overheating. Also make sure to use a battery with at least 30C discharge capacity, otherwise the hihg amp draw of this motor will damage your low C rate pack.

I use this motor on my inferno with a 4s lipo. It pulls wheelstands on command and clocked 100km/h or 65mph. Without a heatsink and fan the motor did get very hot but with a heatsink and fan was ok and i am happy with the performance
