Using this motor in an oldschool Robbe Vigor (Mono II Hydro initialy for 12 cells of NiMh and Speed 700 brushed) on 6s (!) and 37 K-Prop, awesome speed, with watercooling jacket no heat problems, matches perfect to the Turnigy 120 Boat ESC.

Although HobbyKing claims that

"Stock usually arrives every 10-25 days" ,

my order is pending since 15 of May

because of these motors ...

So , i'm giving just one star for now

and will complete my review when finally receive .

Very fast motor but I fried mine in 5 minutes as well. I put it in my RC8e conversion with a hobbywing 80A speed control. I had a 19T pinion and it was blazing fast, clocked it at 52mph. I was using a Turnigy hardcase 4s 5000mah lipo and it started to make a really weird grinding noise in the motor after 5 minutes. After rereading the reviews on here, I should have used a 3s or a much smaller pinion...so I guess it's partly my fault. This motor was very fast while it did last..just make sure to gear it much slower.

I run two of these in a 31" cat, on 3s2p and aluminum 40/3 props. Speed is about 85 km/h (53 mph) . They do get hot but not sizzeling hot. Kv is a tad high for boat duty but they work flawlessy and really scream! Excellent value.

this is my 4 Motor,

i both 1 1900U/volts, and 2 2800U/volts and one 2200or 2000U/volts.

this one was destroit after 2 5800 m A Akkus in a E Maxx with 150A HK brushless esc.

the neodym magnet (one of 3) wos broken.

The older Motor has a nother Magnet.

And this Motor (the first that have teh Power) crasht my 150A HK esc.

a deasaster i THink the quality is down

About 10 runs with this motor so far and it's been great! 17 tooth pinion and 72 tooth spur (I think) in my Emaxx. Using the Trackstar 150 ESC. Lots of power, snapped all the stock axles out on the first pack. For my needs it works great at 0 timing and the punch control set to min., motor seems gets exponentially hotter as you up the timing.

Motor power incredible. I recommend it.

Used on a mugen mrx4 1/8 track with a 5S lipo and TURNIGY Heat Sink with Fan for 36 series mot .

The engine warms up to 70C after 8 minutes.

It's a really impressive motor.
