This analog temperature sensor module is thermistor based. It measures the environment temperature and sends this information to the Arduino through the analog IO port of the Sensor Shield. Great tool for gardening projects, home alert systems etc.
*Note: This is not an original Arduino brand product.
Impressed but couldn't find any code at first. Getech wiki has some example code using the Steinhart-Hart equation to give an output in Centigrade. VCC to 5v pin, GND to GND and S to A0 on Arduino Nano v3. Opening the serial monitor shows a fresh reading in Centigrade every 500ms. Very steady output. Changes slowly but steadily when exposed to sudden temperature change like a blast from a hairdryer or sitting on a bag of frozen peas. Appears reasonably accurate. This should stop my robot getting too close to the fire!Componentes para arduino de muito boa qualidade!Gives stable readings.
