just awsome

I bought this one as my first quad. It is very easy to set up. When I did a test flight some people tought it had a GPS module because of how stable it stayed. I can just hover it and put my transmitter away and it stays in place. It fly's like a dream. I didn't find another quad like this one for this price. Definitely worth the money!

How do I hook this up?

Dec 07, 2016

I recently ordered the King Kong 260, and was wondering how to hook up an Orange R610V2? Thanx in advance.

What can i say,i am blown away by this quad. Having moved into this side of the hobby, i didn't want to spend a lot but i must say this performs like a much more expensive model. Had trouble hooking into Librepilot till i found an incorrect driver on my computer. Once that was sorted i was able to set this up using the Hobbyking FPV Racer profile. It's on bank one at the moment but as a noobie it's perfect, stable and responsive. If you are trying this sport for the fist time, you can't go wrong with this quad, top marks Hobbyking, definitely a winner.

Fun quad!! This is my first racing quad, and although a little nervous about how to set everything up it turned out to be very straight forward. I downloaded the Libre-Pilot GCS software (available at: https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Downloads), and prebound my Spektrum satellite receiver with a primary receiver instead or going through the painful binding process. Once bound you plug your satellite receiver into the front left port and go through the Libre-Pilot wizard to setup and calibrate. It's that simple. Video worked great and aircraft flies awesome.

Very good racer for price.
If you are starting with fpv racer it's a good choice.

Here a video of my first flight with a fpv (and my kingkong by the way) :

I recently got these at what was a great price and now they are even lower. I was skeptical at first but apparently these got a bad rep for reasons I don't experience. I did receive 1 that the rear LED bar was shorted out of the box and smoked out even with a smoke stopper installed. Good thing I ordered 2 sets of frames which came with and extra light bar. The original got so hot it popped a LED off. The other thing. This was my first time using a CC3D FC and it was a total nightmare to get it flashed and going as I wanted it.
Now for the rest of the story. I am truly impressed so far. Much like their props that have saved me tons of money, these 260 class UAV's are a fantastic value at their current price. Are there areas I modified before the first flight? You bet! Some like the vtx zip tie needed a bit of help. The antenna needed put through the rear hole and then supported by plastic mold or one could use hot glue. There are things they could have done better IMHO but again ... Try to build one half as good for the money. I found it impossible.

Unless it develops some kinda voodoo and flies apart, next few times out, I call it a winner in many ways. Or at the very least a sleeper value.

I really really wanted to like this quad. Almost everything is perfect for a beginner who doesn't want to learn how to design/build them all themselves, except the frame. The frames are so fragile its not funny. What are you going to do when you start out? Crash. I bought this kit, and the 2 replacement frame kit and I have already broken two frames from only light crashes. The worst part is that the weak point of the frame is near the motor, so when the frame breaks it tears the motor off the ESC, destroying the motor. This means I have had to replace the motors as well.

Every other component on the quad works really well and is value for money. Since the price has been dropped so much since I purchased it a few weeks ago it might actually be worth buying this for parts. I will continue to use the FPV camera and transmitter, motors, ESCs, FC, and props, but I will be transferring them over to a carbon fiber frame. Don't skimp on the frame like I did. Save money on any other component.
