I get about 40 g thrust on one cell with the recommended prop so I'd say the quoted thrust figures are a bit optimistic. I'm now running it with a 6030 prop.
It's better suited to slower flying models because the thrust and current draw drops off noticeable in flight so it gives good flight times and helps the model fly at a fairly constant speed indoors. Good for slow aerobatics, but of you want something to fly fast indoors, go for the AP03 7500kV motor instead on a 4025 propUsing two of these GPS-C03 motors direct-drive (without the gearbox) turning propellors from an Airhogs Rolling Fury plane. Installed the two motors in a scratch built micro A-10 Warthog. Running a 200mah lipo and with throttle management I fly 6-8 minutes on a charge. Pleased with the motors in this application as I can fly vertically at full throttle and float around at less then 1/2. Only awarding four stars because the motor balancing.awsome motor/gearbox. works perfect on small indoor 3D planes. i use a 6x3 prop and the 1 gram ESC with no troubles at all. have baught many and will buy many more. It weight the same as the 7mm motor used in airhogs planes but the speed is much more powerful.I got two units, and they both are underpowered compared to the spec provided. However...
I installed 1mm quality ballbearings on one of them, and lubricated both with high-grade low viscosity oil.
They both achieved more thrust with lower amp readings, so there is a potential here!!
If you cannot afford ballbearings ($5 a piece), then at least lubricate these units!
As for tougher shafts, I use 1mm carbon rod. If it breaks, just replace it!Staerkster 1S Antrieb in der 30-40g Klasse! Endlich kann ich mit der PZ su26m torquen.

1.Schlechte Qualitaet des Getriebes - sehr laut
2.Die Welle ist sehr weich. Verbiegt sich bei jedem Kontakt des Propellers mit dem Boden. Als Ersatz passt prima eine Welle von Kyosho minium mit D=1mm
Using this on 16" yak with:
- GWS 5030 prop
- HK 3A 1s ESC
- 2 spektrum 1.5g servos
- 350mAh 1s20c
AUW = 40g
I shortened the generously long shaft to reduce vibrations evident in certain throttle settings even on a balanced prop. Even though the stated thrust > 60g I found it a struggle to produce the thrust to hover a 40g AUW platform making the listed test results seem optimistic. The shaft is very soft and will bend upon any soft impact. Mounting this unit is also bit tricky.
Although people state this is the more efficient and powerful motor in its weight, next time i'd rather add +1 gram and save $10 for an oversized direct drive outrunner to produce the same results without any of the hassles associated with this gearbox.
The specifications are very appealing but the real results are not as outstanding - not for me.
4 stars.very soft shaft.. had to modify it to use it with 3A ESC and Ar6400, thrust just enough to hover my 39g YAK,
but definitly more power than 4-Site's motorIm using this on a 32gram nano profile plane it allows me to do large controlled loops and prop hang with ease .I have struggled to get this sort of performance from a direct drive motor so well done Hobby City but Please Please Please get a toughened shaft for it as the supplied one is so soft and as such I cant give it 5 stars
Prop used 5043 battery 100man 20c zippyWorks great with my 31 gram White Sport Monoplane. Produces 25 g of thrust w/4.5X3 prop. TGY PD 3A 1S 1g BL ESC works perfectly with this motor system.
