A true cold war warrior, the Mig 15 was produced in greater numbers than any jet fighter in history, it is a genuine classic with good reason, and this amazing EPO Plug N Fly model really does this amazing aircraft justice.

Being PNF it is a fast build, the powerful EDF unit/ESC combo is pre-installed as are all the servo's. This model is a good size and needs a 4s Lipoly to achieve the kind of performance you are looking for, also for a nice change in this class, the Lipoly compartment has been designed to take a large pack for decent flight times.

As well as being a superb looking and performing model, this Mig is packed with features such as pre-installed electric retracts with scale looking under-carriage leg's, magnetic drop tanks, flaps are again pre-installed as are the airbrakes which you can either set up on a seperate channel or connect to extend with your flaps, in fact this tough EPO jet only needs one thing......an F-86 from this new range of cold war classics to dogfight with!

I decided to go for a power upgrade on my Mig 15 right from the get go as I have had much lighter 70mm jets with similar spec 4s fan units give quite slack performance.
I went for an Eflite BL15 3200kv motor & matching 5 blade impellor with a Turnigy Plush 80 amp speedie running a 3000mah 40c 5s lipo. This setup pulls around 1100 watts @ 65 amps & gives excellent performance & 4 minute flight endurance. The BL15 motor is quite happy to run the 5s setup on its stock 5 blade fan with low esc timing to keep it safe.
Flights so far have been quite locked in & the Mig tracks well performing all the standard manoeuvers with strong climb out ability. Landings are relatively slow & easily controlled with flaps deployed. Both main retracts mountings needed to be re glued to prevent them being pulled out with grass strip landings.

Awesome jet and nice size, everything arrived in great condition , and works great, because of reviews of it being underpowered I've chucked in a 70 mm changesun and a cyclone motor, the only prob I have is when I use the flaps and airbreaks on one channel the airbreaks pop out and flaps go level, I switch it off and flaps come on and airbreaks go back in? Any ideas how to fix the prob

Don't know what happened to my original review but, I'll try again.
This is an excellent flying airframe. It flies OK with stock equipment but, I upgraded to a larger fan, motor, and ESC and continued to use the same 4s 3300mah Turnigy batt. I'm getting about 5 min. flight time.
The addition of the 3700kv motor and a thrust tube has really unleashed the performance in this bird. I've haven't reinforced anything on the airframe and it's holding up fine. It now flies with authority and power to spare.

I received the plane yesterday and is almost ready to roll.

The quality is very high. It includes a separated BEC to cope with the 8 servos 3 e-tracts.

The color (red-silver) is very nice and I'm sure it will be highly visible.

The design is excellent also the scale looks.

The size is good enough to fit in a midsize car booth. But also for good visual in the air.

Just a couple of observations:

-The retracts are not flush with the wing and a piece of plywood was added to clear the wheel from hitting the bottom of the well. In my opinion, a better designed scale landing gear and a thinner wheel could help. The screws were not long enough to hold the LG.

-Some details, like the guns, are not well finished, and they should be done on formed plastic instead of foam.

I give 4 stars in quality, and 5 overall because I really like it.

Tomorrow will be the flight test.
