I had maiden flight yesterday. It was very fast to build. But not so fast in flight because my 3s 25C LIPO was too week. I ordered 45C LIPOS now.

Over all it is a nice plane. The bad things are that the stabiyzer wings was not in my kit and the linkage for he elevon horns fit not tight in the hole...

Howdy Pilots, read all the discussions regarding elevon settings so had the 'heads up' on getting this baby into the air. Flew reasonably well but was dissatisfied with the elevon settings. Went home, rummaged through my boneyard of crashed planes and obtained a pair of mini F-86 elevators and fashioned a set of canards. I glued them into position on the front fuselage and angled them slightly to give the nose a lift whilst in flight. Returned to the field and reset the elevons to the neutral position and held my breathe as I throttled up and threw her into the wild blue yonder. My fears were not realised and she flew almost perfectly and it appeared the canards were angled just right. She is no speed demon but like most of the Skyangel products, the quality was good and a lot of fun. Because of this models inherent flaws I would not recommend this model over the other Skyangel planes. I would recommend for the newbie to head toward the mini F-86, it is awesome for the beginner and very forgiving for those not so perfect landings. Blue skies...Allan

do not even bother to look at this plan, i was expecting when i will get this plan i can fly it without any problem, i bought the battery which is recommend with this plan, my initial thought to put the batter in space under, canopy area, but its was not good i throw plan with hand and bang.. then i try to figure out how can i set CG. trust me i do the max i can do put the batter as much back as i can with esc on top of my batter and i can not go further back because there was no space. any way i launch this again na,.. i think the power is not enough. it just bang again , this time i am lucky i try twice but both time its hit not hit from back or front mean my cg is correct.i have no idea why should i always have to change my default setup to fly any HBK plan. why they just not sell with complete configuration. i saw some review after buying this and realize people have change the default setup

The CG is far too aft even after moving everything in the radio compartment back as far as possible. I had to add lead to the tail to correct it.
On second flight the turbine disintegrated and it crashed. Doesn't fly too well without power.

This plane looks greats but hardly flys. At first I thought it would never fly and almost gave up. It took me a while to figure out that with massive amounts of up trim on both ailervators it will fly, but not without struggling (by massive I mean more than 45 degrees of deflection). I made a modification that helps a lot - I made 2 little wings and stuck them on the sides of the nose angled up about 20 degrees. This lifted the nose enough when underway to let the plane fly and still leaving a little upwards travel on the ailervators. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the kit or the components and for that reason I give is 5 stars for value and quality. If it flew well I would give it 5 stars all the way.

6mm up elevon at least. Even then with an 850Mah battery, you are flying a basic routine of rolls and turns. Not able to loop, and no inverted capability. Suggest using a lighter battery. Stable plane but the fact that you need so much up trim tells you that you are getting what you pay for.

This plane is a realy fake with the original setup. It's impossible to startup flying also with the GC ok and elevator all up! I modified it with 4Cell motor a 60A Esc and a 64mm fan unit and now it has a good performance. You must work hard if you wont flying whit it.

Well, I am a little mad with my Mirage, it arrived totally bent, the vertical stabilizer, the wing, the nose, the underbelly, the inlets, and also the exhaust (sorry I dont know how it is named).
I already ask some help to HobbyKing, but two days later and there is no answer. I cant return the plane because the shipping cost here in Brazil to send it to HK is really, really expensive, so I think that I will be with the prejudice.
I will try to fly it at this weekend, but, I dont know if it will fly, but If so I will let you know.
Also, I will put the 6mm of reflex too.
