The track itself is made from tough ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) sections to make a smooth surface with good traction and has interlocking tabs to secure each section to the next without glue or tape. The track surface is edged by colored fiber reinforced plastic rails to both support the track and give it a clear outline (and to keep the cars where they should be!)
