This is a mini Arduino based on-screen display board. It's tailored for use with ArduPilot Mega and the MAVlink protocol, and designed to be as small as possible.

It's main components are an ATmega328P 8 bit microcontroller with an Arduino bootloader, and a MAX7456 monochrome on-screen display. Programming is done through an FTDI-compatible 6-pin cable.

It features two independent power and ground sections to isolate the OSD's analog stage: a +5V section for the ATmega and the OSD's digital stage, powered through the FTDI cable or other +5V source; and a regulated +5V section for the OSD's analog stage, powered through the video in/out header and capable of handling up to +12V input.

Features:

• ATmega328P with Arduino bootloader
• MAX7456 monochrome on-screen display
• FTDI cable compatible pinout
• Standard 6-pin ISP header
• Two independent power sections with an LED indicator on each
• Solder jumpers for combining the power sections
• +5V 500mA regulator for up to +12V supply input (5-12v range)
• Solder jumper for PAL video option
• Exposed test points for HSYNC and LOS

Specs:
Voltage: 5-12v
Dimensions: 50 x 18 x 10mm
Weight 4g

OSD works a treat with APM 2.6. Update the firmware with a ftdi and you have a good osd.

Cheap and powerful, these will connect to the Naze32, MultiWii, APM, and Pixhawk. Out of the three I've bought, one has succumbed to a voltage spike. This was most likely caused by a crash and not a defect in the product itself. In general, I'm very happy with these.

bought this osd to go with my first MultiWii.

though not setup out the box to work with MW boards (set for APM & PIXHAWK standard) theres tons of simple info and advice available all over the place and as this OSD is long established there are many available firmwares to suit just about any FC out there, Took a noob like me half an hour to flash new firmware via a Ftdi adapter and configure the display before I was out and in the air with my new OSD working a treat. WORTHY OF NOTE(as not mentioned here).... The V1.1 and newer versions DO NOT suffer the same overheat failures that the earlier versions did so the 12v side of the board can now be happily fed with a 12v feed (as was intended)

Very nice Osd with an awesome price! You can have all the information from this little board but be careful if you are a newbie because it requires some skill! It's not plug and fly but once correclty setup it works like a charm. there are a lot of useful videos on how to program and install it.

Two units was bought. MCU (not video chip) of the first one fried after two days of usage. After replacement of the dead MCU I have the same problem- inadequate temperature of the MCU. Nevertheless it still working after putting heat sink on the chip.
Second unit works perfectly except one thing: it is impossible to configure it through the serial link as the Tx channel of the OSD is dead. The quality of this product is really disappointing.
