Motor has wrong thread

Dec 21, 2018

I already tried to write a review of this product.
The motor axle has wrong thread (CCW is right turn, motor has left turn).
Hobbyking answered: "These motors are labeled by thread direction, not propeller direction." and closed my claim again.
Funny thing is that I ordered another motor 1306 CCW which has right hand (= correct) thread. I'm curious what will happen now.

Tiny motors

Mar 28, 2018

Bought 4 motors 2 cw 2 ccw the specs says that cw are rated for 3s the ccw only for 2.
First impression, very tiny compared with emax 1306.
Size 17,60x24.13mm the wires 0,22mm.
I will come with more after flight test

CCW is the direction of the thread, not the direction of rotation.

Mar 13, 2018

I bought 4pcs of those (CCW) for a plane, where normal rotation is CCW seen from the front of the plane (and also from the top of a multirotor). But with the thread ccw they are supposed to rotate CW.

I run these on a 160 quad with 3s and 3545 2-blade props. Amp draw tested at 7.7amps on the bench. These motors were great, plenty of power for my 200g auw build. But after a few weeks the bearings sound like garbage even after oiling. I got them for about 5 bucks a piece so still was worth it.

I use 6 of these on a self build hex with 5030 gemfan props and a 2200 2s battery the hex is really light with 370g including a foxxeer legend 1. I have done around 20 flights now flighttime is around 17minutes down to 3.5v per cell. I was suprised how efficent the setup is. If you fly hard the motors get a little warm so 3 s would most likely kill them with that prop.

these motors are great the only reason i am giving them a 3 star is because of miss shipment and 2 broken motors out of 10
