Beautiful little engine Only issue if you could call it that was the Muffler was a tad bulky for my Qtr Scale Cub The wrap around aftermarket muffler proved perfect and this engine easily fitted in place of the Orig 120 4s Glow engine like a glove!! Direct fit !! The tiny sparkplug is the size of a 4s Glow plug amazing.

Two test bench runs and one maiden flight, all good so far, runs rough at 1/2 throttle (no mid range needle) but idle and full ok, can't source walbro carb kit as yet needed for annual rebuild as advised.

Great running motor, easy to mount the exhaust being in two is no good but going to use a canister exhaust anyhow.
Great idle and good transition on the ground haven't had it in the air yet

Good engine for the money

I picked this engine up for a project P-51 I was given. After receiving the engine I ran it on the test stand, and had no problem whatsoever flip starting it. It ran great, was plenty responsive. The muffler it comes with makes it kind of sound like a chainsaw. I noticed that through the exhaust opening, the piston below the rings looks a bit "scratched", not exactly like fresh hash markings but more like random scratches. So far that has not affected performance. The engine is now in the plane, however mounted inverted and using the wrap-around muffler. I spent hours trying to flip start it in this position, but there's just not enough airflow through the carb to get the air/fuel mix into the combustion chamber. Using an electric starter has solved that issue. I'm still going through the break-in process on the ground and can tell that it will have plenty of power for this aircraft. Idle is finally getting down nice & low and smoothing out as I'm able to lean the idle screw down; previously it was vibrating quite a bit with the initial rich mixture. The wrap-around muffler does sound different, and I suppose less like a chainsaw and perhaps more like a weed-eater, but we'll see how it sounds once in the air. Overall I'm happy and can't wait to get that Mustang in the air.

Once primed fired right up, zero change to carb. Maiden was fantastic, loads of power.....
