This versatile Orange RPM Sensor for brushless motors is suitable for inrunner and outrunner motors and works by detecting the voltage changes in the wires to the motor, and then outputs the RPM signal.

The sensor can be used with :
• Orange short and long range telemetry systems.
• Orange telemetry receivers.
• Flybarless sytems with integtrated governor (such as V-bar) Please pay attention to proper connection of the sensor to the V-Bar unit.
• Data loggers (such as Eagle Tree)  Please pay attention to proper connection of the sensor to the unit.

Perfect sensor; lightweight (2.5g) & cheap.
Installed on microBrain2 with stock (6 pole outrunner) motor. Just had to switch the yellow(+) <-> grey (signal) wire.
@Paul Denker: You are referring to a two pole motor in the description which only use is to show the max reach of the sensor!
14S LiPo on a two pole motor, I don' t think so ;)

Works perfectly. Only issue was guessing the number of poles in the motor. I used trial and error plus an optical tacho to get the right settings.

good we have the rpm sensor and the whole line of orange rx which use the sensor is out of stock since a while. kindly bring the rx back to stock asap.

If used as an RPM sensor for the Ikon, the yellow and gray wires need to be reversed- see Ikon governor sensor diagram. Works well.
