Although the transmitter is designed for aircraft, I use them on model boats and I have had no problems with Spektrum and Futaba in the past and I have been able to buy the conversion kits to spring center the throttle stick. However I cannot do this with this model and it will only give a solid bind light on the new Orange R615X compatable receivers I have recently bought and a flashing bind light with the same earlier receivers. I have tried resetting it to factory settings but no change. If I had known I would not have bought this Transmitter

Radio works, but delivery was not perfect at all

First of all, i received the radio within 3 working days (from Hongkong to Switzerland with DHL express). Sensational! .
I ordered this radio to replace the old Hitec Optic 6 with Orangerx DSM module. It works with 3 bound receivers now without problems so far.
But: First i ordered a EU compliant radio and received a FCC compliant one,
wich can not be changed from US to EU in the menu.
Second: the throttle lever, not centered, is only damped in a way but has not the usual "ratchet" behaviour as most other radios have. That i find irritating even after more than a hour of use.
Maybe HK customer service has a solution like a different spring. (its a flat spring, i see it through the housing).

A really good piece of kit. One downside, a beginner such as myself cannot use this until I get the correct buddy cable. My trainer has the same system but we cannot link them together.

Bougt another one, soldered mini DIN connectors onto microphone cable so I'm using a pair of these transmitters in teacher/student mode.
My two sons and nephews are learning really fast that way.
I know it' a basic RX, but i still miss an option to activate/deactivate mixers with switch during flight. Till noe I didn't figured out how to.
I'm using switches for dual/rate function, for different trim modes (just activate one switch during fligt and RX re-trims elevator to "landing mode" respectively slows the plane before approach).

After big disapointment with Bixler 1.1 plane purchased together, this Orange Transmitter serves great. I am looking to buy another one to connect both together
into a teacher/pupil mode to help my kids and nephews learn faster.

Orangerx zender niet zo goed.

Niet zo goede zender. rammelt alsof alles los zit binnenin, de trim van de gasknuppel werkte ook niet. met elektro heb je die misschien niet nodig maar ik vlieg ook met brandstof vliegtuigen en dan is het handig als je de stationair loop van de motor bij kan trimmen vanaf buitenkant zender met de trimknop.
de service van hobbyking is wel heel erg goed.
