The P-40 Warhawk saw action in many theatres in WW2, including the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Pacific where it was used as both a fighter and more successfully as a ground attack aircraft. Most famously, the P-40 was used by the Chinese Flying Tiger squadron flown by US pilots, the success of this squadron against the Japanese airforce in China, even against the feared Zero, made them household names around the world.

This P-40 Warhawk is simply huge for a foam model! Being EPO, it is as tough as you would expect but at the same time, the moulded detailing is simply amazing. Despite it's size, this Warhawk should be easy to transport with it's removable 1pc wing and removable tailplane. The plastic moulded part details, like the very scale exhaust stubs, 3 blade prop/spinner, bomb cradle, .50 Cal machine guns, cockpit detail just go on and on and make for a stunning scale model.

The list of working features is equally impressive, pre-fitted split flaps, pre-fitted nagivation lights, superb twist and turn electric retracts that feature sprung legs and large rubber tires which like the retracting tailwheel, are also pre-fitted. The landing gear is linked to a sequencer for the U/C doors for that final scale touch. We have been extensively involved in the development of this stunning P-40N and the end result is a not just a scale model to be proud of but also a superb flying model that looks every bit as good in the air as on the ground. This P-40 is a must for warbird fans and is so easy to fly it is also a great choice for the intermediate pilot looking to move up in scale, as the saying goes "the bigger they are, the better they fly" and they don't fly any better than this beauty!

Troppi difetti in un modello cosi bello e pieno di ingenieria. Bastava mettere servi miglkiori e retracts di qualche euro in piu e si poteva accettare anche un costo maggiore

Ok earlier i submitted a review, the package had arrived, on the right hand wing a massive warp and damage around and on the flap existed, no matter how much heat i applied to straighten it would not, so the flaps i had to tape up and are useless in effect now. The rear of the fusealage around the tail also has damage, i think just bad finishing. So first flight i expected plane to bank sharply to the right due to the defect in the wing, after 100pcnt trim to left it was trimmed and flying very nicely, it is smooth and quite fast, the rate of climb is actually quite amazing, however be careful on hig bank turns as the wings do flex quite a lot and i felt they would snap if pushed, the problem is the wing brace does not go far enough into the wing, but it still flys superb. C of G yes make sure you do this with the wheels retracted, it does move when the wheels are down but not badly this plane floats lovely and has not wing stall problems on landing ....i can walk faster, be aware the large motor does give a massive braking effect when throtteling down so keep some throttle on until wheels are touched down. Looks wise in the air it is totally amazing, it really does gets some heads turning. Overall a great model and very realistic, quality needs to be improved though or someone needs to check the box before it is sent out, it was a shame really but to be honest the plane does not

I received my model today after a very long wait, i was surprised to see the EPO creased on the tail of the fuselage, and a terrible warp on the top part of the wing above where the flaps seat, i am heating this carefully with hot air to try and bend it back into shape . Overall the model has gone together very easy, i will be hopefully maiden flying it tomorrow, although the motor is not functioning although i am putting this down to low battery...i pray the ESC is not faulty. But so far so good...am trying to not think bad.

I must say I am really surprised by such a high marks this model received, by some reviewers. This is NOT a bad model, but some serious compromises were made during the production process (very poor quality control versus some very good engineering) that gave at best very mediocre result.

First of all, EPO is not the best choice for hinging flaps, ailerons, elevator and rudder. I strongly recommend using some sort of covering film or tape on all hinges.

Second of all, the manual seems fine at first, but is guiding you only through the very basic steps that anyone could figure out for themselves without any manual. When it comes to deciphering cable mess inside the plane, youre left on your own. The LED connectors are marked, as well as gear door and landing gear cables, but others are just numbered 1-6. Nowhere is written what does it mean? Not all transmitters and modelers have the same channel reserved for the same function. Count that you will take approximately half an hour to decipher what is what.

Gear doors sequencer comes without any instructions (there are labels gear doors and landing gear, though), and without indication on what is proper polarity orientation on connectors the signal wire goes inside, btw).

I still have a single servo connector that I dont know where to plug in, and everything seems to work fine even without it su

Be carefull with this one. Finished building and started testing, pilot unglued and falling around cockpit, wingtip lights don't work, elevator servo blew and had to be replaced,ESC blew and had to be replaced, one landing leg had no grub screw ( find one and replace )

Screws holding prop blades in place are too long, but do the job.

Now ready for the test flights, fingers crossed

Quite strong and cheap. It's made of foam so strong in all directions. Nice shiny finish, good to hold in my hand. Can cut with a knife if needed.

This is the poorest quality of the 22 planes I have, list of parts which have failed before I have got it in the air, all 3retracts (I have purchaced 2 and spent ages striping and using parts from each), sequencer failed, rudder hinge broken, esc burned out as soon as it was plugged in
I have now spent 4 evenings repairing this plane as direct replacement parts are not available.
Hoping to fly it tomorrow weather permitting

The wing joining seat was not flat on mine, the wiring is all over the place and some wires are not marked, the pilot was loose in the cockpit and required gluing.one servo was not working at all, the upgrade to the retracts which replaces the ones fitted was not included, the glue provided is insufitient to glue all the parts and is not very good anyway, there is no manual for the wiring and electrics does not exist, I had one faulty Y lead these were not very good quality, and not enough of them supplied to complete the wiring set up.
