This large scale, crash resistant EPO warbird has a wingpsan of 61inches (1.55m) and comes with working retracts, functional tail wheel and flaps!
The shock-absorbing retracts are both functional and strong, soaking up bumps from bad landings and rough flying locations. A steerable tail wheel makes taxiing easy and this large wingspan plane is even easier to control in the air.
There is no need to be worried about flying a large scale warbird anymore with the new EPO P-51D,

Included is 8 servos, 4 blade propeller, and a large high quality 42 series outrunner. Flaps are great for pulling off short takeoffs and perfect for slow landings!
The P-51 Mustang will arrive 95% assembled, leaving only the tail pieces and wing to be glued into place. Assembly time is around 1 hour.

well I think I bought the last one here in aus, , took a week to arrive, which I thought was really reasonable , plane arrived packaged well with no signs of damage, assembly took a little longer than I expected, but worth the effort , negative points... left landing gear was nowhere near in line and had to pack it out, plus they swivel and wont stay in a straight line, one elevator servo was dead on arrival so had to be replaced, also one elevator control rod was missing so had to make my own, main wings would not push all the way in to the fuse so had to make ajustments there, positives ... this is a really sturdy plane, solid as a rock, heaps of room inside the fuselage for your gear and battery, took just under a day to assemble which I thought was quite acceptable, on her maiden flight this arvo I found it easy to break ground and needed very little trimming to get her straight, a very dosile and predictable flight character, flaps work well for slow flight and landings, a beautiful scale flyer, not a speed machine but very enjoyable to fly,
its such a pity hk has ceased production of these planes, I would have liked another one , come on hk, bring them back please

was impressed with the packaging of this plane, double boxed as usal, everything arrived in good condition , it seems to be a very well made model, good solid epo .
one or two bad points tho, the landing gear has a tendancy to swivel, so keeping them in a straight line is difficult, but im sure a bit of lock tite can sort this, also in the tail section , one of the elevator control rods was missing, so had to fabricate and fit a new one, ok for someone in the know but would be difficult and very fiddly for someone who has never built planes before
overall tho this is a great model, its just a pity the main wings have to be glued on, making transport very difficult, im still looking into a way to make them removable to get it to my airfield easier .
would recommend this plane but as I hear they are not making anymore , I believe I got the last one in aus, its a real pity

My lovely daughter bought me this for my birthday. I have assembled it with removable wings ( 4 bolts and 2 pieces of ply), which helps with transport. The ESC provided is hopelssly inadequate. After 6 minute flight, too hot to touch so ran on watt meter and found that static current draw is 45 Amps. Right on the limit of the ESC. Also, found that the model is under powered and flies very slowly but perhaps the ESC limited the power to the motor. When my new ESC comes, I'll see how it goes. I found the general finish on the model was below average and the rudder servo was faulty. I had to change that. One wing had been stressed in transit and was bowed. Some weight and hot air remedied this over a few hours. I gave it 4 crowns overall because when I flew it, it flew like a bird and had no vices. It has real presence both in the air and on the ground. The retracts and flaps work very well and the flaps do not make the model balloon. There is no tendency to tip stall, even at the lowest possible speed. This model fies so well that I reckon it could almost rate as a trainer. The really bad potential problem with this model is; if you use the C of G that is recommended, you just might prang on your first flight!!! Please, for your safety and the safety of your investment, make the C of G 95mm back from the wing root leading edge. If you don't like it there, you can move it back t

it is a slow flyer... with the stock motor and prop i do not think it is easy to go vertical... i got one of them.. and it is great looking... one drowback is its wings are fixed and not designed to be removed for easy carrieng to the site... so you need to have roomy car to carry it. and one more thing its prop is not yet found any where. if you loose it you have to fix another 2blades prop. it has good space for the battery i fixed 4S 3300mAh but i may use 4000mAh or more to enjoy longer flying time. my 1st landing i crashed the landing gear. but fixed it again and it is good now.

This is not a bad plane but some things are not great. The paint is not good with some of the black shiny and some matt. Canopy has overspray, Ok if you are looking to repaint. Chips quite easily. One flap was damaged but still usable. Have tossed the motor and speedy as on 4S it would not go past 3/4 throttle without cutting out. Would be better sold with no motor or speedy and sold cheaper just as airframe. Hopefully will fly ok.
