Nice looking plane, its a pity that its not as good as some people are reporting in their reviews

my honest opinion stay clear of this plane, its a lemon, unless you start from scratch

there are a number of issues from electronics, servos, retracts, cold soliders on engine terminals, servo extensions connected with bread bag ties, the wheel hubs are over tighten an cracked, props youll just laugh

engine an rudder/elev holders are made from 1.5mm perpex

what were they thinking

seriously take a good look at this produce HK its far from up to customer requirements

with all the technology at your finger tips, how about we use a bit of common since regarding the whole package

its not a $10 plane ,its $170, but it appears to be built like its only $10

the up side is, ive ripped all the crap out, an built a good plane with 4x quality servos, new retracts an alum wheels, upgrade the ESC to 60a an a 850kv motor

an aluminium engine mount an ply servos holders, carbon rod through the entrie length of the wings an fuselage, carbon hinges for all wing surfaces

Now this is a beautiful plane

recieved mine just over a week ago; didn't bother with this plane when it came out as I was happy flying the FMS 1400 'Stang. However a new smaller car necessitated a slightly smaller plane, and this fitted the bill perfectly; shame that it looks it might now be discontinued? Hope not; after one flight I'm very impressed. Looks only slighty smaller than my current FMS 1400 Spitfire, but is much easier to fly.

Hand launching seems easy enough; only problems I had in flight were the battery cover coming off in mid air and a strong tendancy for the nose to rise. It didn't fly like it was tail heavy however; it just needed a lot of work to keep the nose from rising. Will set up some dual rates so that I can keep the same take-off ease then with a little less upward pitch in flight.

Looks great in the air, and contrary to what some other reviews have said, I found that (with the 2 blade prop) it was really easy to fly slowly on a 3 cell 2200mah battery. Only had it at 1/3rd throttle most of the time on a virtually windless day. Can't wait to get it in the air again :)

Nice plane,it has a few small issues and it likes to nose over.there is a circuit board in this for the sliding canopy and retracts.not sure if thats to protect voltage/current draw?the retracts move slow!to slow for me really and the canopy is kool. Both retracts and canopy are worm screw type which is kinda different.i think i would rather of had lights and flaps tho. This plane is a little under powered it flys fine but i am spoiled cause darn near everything i get gets a bigger motor and speed controller.it will keep up with a stock park zone t28.i went with the 2 blade prop.spinner is a cheapo and the battery slot is a bit snug and you have to fold your wires down into the fuse to get the hatch on.Looks Sweet in the air!!recommended

beware, retract controll unit it not sold on hk! mine came defective out of the box, contacted cs, they sent me a new set of retracts.... no controll unit. been waiting well over a month since i got this bird, cs responds to emails after a minimum of a week. my advice would be to purchase a plane which hk stocks all spares for. other than this, the p-51 is fantastic both to look at and to fly, ive had around 50 flights with it, without any problems, all standard using a 2200 3s

Hi guys, first off, this bird looks fantastic out of the box, assembly is very easy and only takes around 45 mins. I maidened it today using the supplied 4 blade prop, seemed to have plenty of go in it, very stable and needed no adjustment at all, 3 crowns for quality because my retracts don't work, cs is sending me a new set but! Although this is my first prop plane (only flown edf jets in the past) I cannot fault this planes flying characteristics at all! Think I'm going to have to purchase an f4u corsair also!

Pay attention in the setting of the engine, because in my fourth flight, the screws that hold the engine loose, propeller damaged the fuselage and I still managed to land softly. But my model stayed with breakdowns in the fuselage, nose and side.

If you are expecting for replacement parts : forget it....
I've been waiting wings for 5 months ( and someone else for 8) because of a supplier failure.

Dive on grass: you have to modify retracts angle.
