My first F3A pattern Flyer. Have already crashed twice but am amazed by its resilience. Perfect for a Novice F3A pilot. Flies very gracefully- almost as on rails. My fellow club members are impressed and will be purchasing one of these. Landings are easy as the plane floats. Remember to get the CG right.

GREAT PLANE! I fly mine at 6S 5000 45C with dymond motor and lipo. Cut down a lot of weight replacing the iron wingtube for carbon, carbon undercarriage, cutting away a lot of woodparts/iron bolts/nuts/magnets, using light corona MG servo's, extended the wingspan to 1420mm for extra load capability, etc.
Flying weight is exactly 2500 gr. Pull is 5kg. Its a rocket!! Testing it, it pulled a heavy classic armchair through the livingroom :-O. With COG at 10cm it flies like a dream. Very strong build as wel. One weak point at the back of the main wing. Glued 2 carbonsticks into the fuselage. Very rigid now. At 6S do reinforce all rudderhinges. Lost one aileron making a roll, flying topspeed. Luckely didn't lose the elevator bashing it around.

ntm 4238 750 kv motor, 13x8 turnigy wooden prop, 3s, 44mah batteries. flying weight 2150grams

flies well, slightly underpowered but does good loops, rolls etc. will fly slow and landings are pretty smooth. my u/c has been put in backwards so it angles forward and mounting in fuselage has been reinforced. down thrust has been increased.
this is a big plane and would make a good 2nd plane. excellent value!

Great value for money and builds into an impressive looking aircraft. I replaced the undercarriage with something a little more robust, replaced the (heavy stainless steel) wing joiner with a lighter carbon tube and built a new motor mounting arrangement - the provided box structure is quite weak (and barely glued in my kit). It needed quite a lot of right and down thrust to get it flying straight and level, but it now flies well. I went with a 6s 2200mAh setup using a Emax 4020 motor, 60A ESC and 13x6.5 prop. I get about 7 minutes flying. I am using full size digital metal geared servos all round, AUW is about 2.3kg.

In January I made an order here on HobbyKing NL, corresponding to a Pattern Sport Flyer plane (Order No. 2006055368). The HobbyKing inform me that they had sent the plane on 21 January for my address in Portugal. Today is February 14 and the plane was not delivered! From Holland to Portugal orders do not take more than six days, so the order is lost or delivered to another client ! I have submitted a complaint on HobbyKing but so far, not respond to my case! The tracking number is wrong don't work! HobbyKing not say anything about this, nor where is my order, or if they want return me the total amount paid by Paypal. It is a incomprehensible situation and shows a lack of rigor and professionalism. So, i come warn all potential customers about this case in order to stay alert !
I will continue to wait for solution to my case. I am a customer with many orders on HobbyKing, only one in HobbyKing NL (this case), but until resolution of this, I will not make any order !

Areo veramente ben fatto. A differenza di come riportano le istruzioni i due semigusci che compongono la fusoliera sono gi incollati. Nella bustina con gli accessori presente anche la colla. Che dire veramnete un ottimo prodotto.

I saw it and had to try it out, this is by far one of the best planes I have flown and all for 60 bucks, its rediculous! I have hundreds of flights on mine, and enjoy flying practicaly every F3A maneuver, and its foam!

I put an old Torque 4014 on the front end and with a five cell it hovers and torque rolls great!

The worst part of this plane is the shipping!

Ok plane. Very sturdy plane with a smooth finish. First flown in on a 700kv 4-5S motor. Very nice on 5S 4kg thrust pulling 2.9kg at 45 Amp. Upgraded to SK 5054 500kv on 6S with a 15x10 prop. 4.8 kg thrust pulling 3.4 kg weight at 63 Amp. Very much fun, but a bit heavy. 5S is the best match. Only downside is de landinggear. It constanly overbends. Replaced it with a old Mentor gear. Now its very good. Also Handy: easy to repair. crashed it twice at aprox 120kmh, just broke in 2 pieces. Easely glued together again. Try that with a balsa model....

This is a bargain. it flies as if on rails. running a 42-50./650 tgy 4s.13x8 prop.cant get more than 4s 5000 battery in. Had a bad crash into trees.foam is so tough it took 1hr to araldite cowl.wing spar bent so can repair. changing to a 42-48 motor as 4250 not available. this is a good plane to start pattern flying. Great for aerobatics.Knife edges a breeze.
