no storage function, instructions absurdly bad

May 17, 2019

The instructions are absolutely terrible. The translator who wrote them needs to be fired. that being said, it works well with my batteries. I wish it had a function to establish a storage charge in my LiPO batteries, but it doesn't. That being said, it does the job, and does it well. I'll buy a fancier charger if it's that big of a deal in the future. Until then, I like it.

Very slow

Mar 09, 2019

It works ... it charges my lipos but it's very slow. Two 3S 1350's at the same time will take 90 minutes.

Weak

May 30, 2018

As battery is charged, this charger will not maintain the charge rate. Set for 5 amps, started out at 3.2 amps and decreased steadily to about 0.1 amp near end. As a result it took 2-2 1/2 hours to charge a 4S 5000Mah pack.
Even setting to max amps (6) produced little to no improvement.
On the plus side the individual cells were VERY closely matched.

The best balancing I have ever seen!

Oct 23, 2017

Slow ...yes! Expect to get 1.5ah of charge into your battery at a 2.0-2.2 amp rate after an hour but in the end you have to go slow anyway to get all the cells balanced. Other "balance" chargers I have seem to go over the 4.200 volt limit on a couple of cells in a 6s pack or are high on their voltage measurements. Not this one, and talk about easy to use ... Plug in the balance lead and let it charge ... Quiet fan when it is working hard on AC power and as the power drops off the fan shuts down for total silence. I bought two for a friend because it is easy to use and liked it so much I got one for myself!

This is an excellent charger that allows you to charge a wide variety of batteries. I connect two 3s or up to 6 1s batteries. You can monitor the charge state of each cell to see how much it was discharged to make you aren't over-discharging your batteries and shortening their life. Setting the charging rate is easy. It even beeps when all the cells have been fully charged.

Very slow, it is so slow that you will get roots wile waiting for your LiPos.

My LiPo of 3s, 2200mah 40c, was charged in 3:17 hours at rate of 2.1 Amps.

Normally this same LiPo in my Reaktor take less 1 hour to charge at 2.1a in balance mode. This Charger take more tan 3 times almost 4 times to charge the same LiPo at the same rate of charging.

Hobby King it is not your standard.

This is an excellent charger for LiPo batteries. It charges multiple batteries at one time, monitors the charge state of each cell and beeps when charging is completed. You can monitor the charging rate and voltage of each cell while it's charging too.
