    Product Description

    HobbyKing has come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

     

    The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water-soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

     

    PLA:

    PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high-resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when flexing, impacted or subject to torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project have to be evaluated.

     

    PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short, a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl-free print.

     

    3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important.

    As with all 3D plastics, just got to get the right settings for using it. Better coverage then some of the colors and prints good. Just remember that this is transparent and not clear so it will be frosty to a degree. With 3D Lab planes, increase your Flow Rate to 115 % to 120% and your rate speed to 80% up to 100% if no gaps.

    Prints very well 205/55 flow rate 0.92 in S3D. If you use a lot of infill it will turn out translucent white.

    Very well wrapped even had cling wrap around the spool inside the bag. It was very stiff but after printing it .. wow layer bonding was fantastic, it wouldn't break - not completely clear more frosty but flexible and strong. What's not to like? I'm getting a second roll on my next order.

    Great filament, but needs higher temperature

    Got near clear prints and high layer adhesion on higher temperatures.
    Used on my Anycubic I3 Mega 220 °C, Bed 60°C and 0,1 mm layer height.

    Use this Filament to print some 3Dlabprint Airlplanes with my Kossel XLs; ThinWall @ 230° Super transparent for a PLA. I love this touch of white ! In technial order this material is perfect: Layerbonding, BedAdhession, Finish of printed Parts .... please offer 3kg or 5kg Spools. Same for Hobbiking Silver Filament !
