Product Description

HobbyKing Premium 3D printing filaments set the new gold standard in 3D filaments. Print with strong, flexible filament to create spare parts, artworks and 3D models. Silk PLA filament is a composite PLA with the main component being PLA and with other components such as polyester. It provides a great looking filament that is shiny or silky and has a semi-translucent look.

HobbyKing Premium PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high-resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. Silk PLA is excellent for large prints as it has low shrinkage and has a better toughness and surface gloss than normal PLA.

PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short, great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl-free print.

Looks Fantastic, Prints well with Thin Walls

Just printed a RazorBlade rc jet from 3dlabgang at 3dlabprint and it looks great ! Just some very minor stringing but apart from that the layer adhesion seems really good (used factory files supplied by 3dlabgang 56 bed 230 hot end) unfortunately only stock in Hong Kong so paid more for the postage than the product but worth it ! PINK-SILK PAID £8.86 (NOW £9.44)

The pink filament ist my thrid silk style filament. The silk effect is outstanding for 3d printing, bringing your prints to a never seen artistic level.
The pink silk performs just as good as the other colors i have tested, these were a light green and a sky blue one. Just try it, prints with almost normal temperature settings. The roll label tells to print with 220 to 240 degrees, i print with 195 degrees and it works fine.
