These are nice 1/6 models of WW2 500lb bombs but the replacements don't come with the decal or rubber nose. Normally I get pretty quick shipping from HobbyKing but this order came from EU warehouse and it took 5 weeks!

These are nice 1/6 scale bombs, from what dimensions I have checked they look right. I plan on using them for a diorama scene with other figures.

Replace the connection between the two halfs with magnets for better opening on impact with flower. Also painted the bomb in a bright color for easier finding.

If you have the bomb drop package, you'll need to get spare bombs! You will either break one or lose one. I keep two spares and take to the field.

Bought 2 of these for a scale 8x8 r/c truck for cargo. they are awesome! I will be ordering a few more to have a full cargo space filled. i will post pictures up when i get them all loaded up. Thanks hobbyking

I just received the spare bombs I ordered from Hobby King. The bombs did not come with the rubber nose cone, the ordinance decal, or the extra mounting plate. I tried to put powder in the new bombs but as I took off the powder came out of the bombs. When I released them the bombs had no powder in them. I was also told from my observers ( 6 of them ) one of the bombs split in two just after release in mid air. When I inspected the bomb, it was observed the 4 pins holding the bomb together were loose in the holes they fit into. This lead to a loose fit.

The low rating is because the bomb package as far as I am concerned is not complete, and the poor quality of the product.

I also purchased 2 complete bomb release kits and they were complete and operated correctly.

Until HK updates their extra bombs to include the rubber nose cone, the ordinance decals, and the extra mounting plate I will not be ordering any more extra bombs from them.
