The Dassault Rafale is a twin engined delta fighter/multirole combat aircraft that has been designed to be capable of operating from both land and from carriers. It represents the forefront of French aviation technology and has seen action in recent conflicts around the world, including Libya & Afghanistan with both the French Air Force and Navy.
This superb Rafale features a composite fuselage, vertical stabilizer and fixed canards with a balsa constructed delta wing, the paint finish and covering is excellent, the finished model looks really quite striking in it's prototype scheme. The Rafale is designed for twin 70mm EDF units (included) and is capable of blistering speeds, comprehensive hardware is supplied with the kit, this includes fixed under-carriage, although it would take little work to convert the model to accept a set of electric servoless retracts, or it would be just as happy being bungee launched.
Being designed around 70mm fans, this Rafale is a great size for transportation and it's flight performance is truly outstanding, even with the canards in the fixed position, this superb jet is highly maneuverable. Two fans mean an amazing thrust/weight ratio with the right set up, delivering a realistic jet flying experience for the RC pilot!

I found the spars, they are very dense and probably better than the wood spars shown in the photos. 70 mm EDF ducts slide about 2 cm forward into air inlet for a good fit.Rafale arrived today double boxed without damage.
Included are two 3-blade fans. The vertical stab and rudder are integrated, not cut out. No instructions. Two wood spars for the wing are missing.
Total weight of fiberglass body, canopy, canard, wings, and vertical stab
is 35.5 ounces, or 2 lb 3 oz, or 1000 grams. Workmanship is excellent.
There is a cutout for Main landing gear retracts and the inlet duct is depressed to allow wheels to retract up. Nose of fuselage has an opening for nose landing gear retracts also
