RD620 is the lightest (only 8.8g) 6-channel, full range, and ultra narrowband Dual Conversion receiver. Decoded by the onboard microprocessor, the resolution reaches 1024 in order to adapt to the digital servo and accurate servo. Like the DSP that all CORONA receiver uses, it rejects the glitch strictly. Compared with Single Conversion receiver, Dual Conversion receiver can reject mirror frequency more effectively if they have the same components and use the same DSP algorithm. Thus, it gets more reliability. For adjacent channel interrupt (with the transmitters of channe50, 51, 52, 53 working together, and not far way form them), RD620 can reject it more effectively. Inheriting CORONAs consistent style (small and light), both the size and weight of RD620 is the smallest. You can install it on Micro 3D CCPM helicopter or 3D fix-wing airplane in an easier way, and use it on small size, high speed and high-performance occasions. It can also be installed in the small size occasion, such as the indoor Micro Electric Aircraft, park fliers, etc. Of course, the full range and full performance of RD620 can be used in the occasion when long range is needed, such as the glider and large-scale glow plane. In addition, RD620 can deal with the busy flight situation, and guarantee the safety of the fly.
See the RD 620 User Guide for more details.

Excelent receiver

Nov 14, 2007

I used the first receiver received (after a range test) on my low wing aerobatic trainer and it had an excelent performance at extreme long range (as far as I could see the 1500 mm wing span plane). On the same location, and using a futaba single conversion receiver, I had serious problems with glitches, but not with de RD620. Have ordered 4 more to replace the receivers on all my planes.

Corona D/C receivers RD620 & 8

Nov 14, 2007

These are the best receivers I have used.

They are cheap and have very good range and I get no glitching from them at all.

I have used them in at least 10 a/c and am buying more.

I have discovered a work around for the channel 1 not arming the ESC on the JR transmitters.

Will it do for competition?

Nov 14, 2007

I bought one of these in order to test them for competition use. I fly in a class (air-combat with glow engines) where up to 7 pilots fly at the same time, often on channels next to each others. This weekend I tested it like this: First my friend and I (ch 65 and ch 66 on 35 MHz) switched on our transmitters with antennas not pulled out. No problems. We tried different situations where we took turns in beeing nearest to the model. Closest distance was about 50 cm. Then my friend pulled out his antenna and again there was no problem.

After that I took the model to the skies and there the range was excellent. I got one glitch and that was when my friend stood 50m away and I flew quite near him (behind him in my line of sight), with my antenna pointing directly towards my model. This is not normally recommended, but I wanted to try out the limits this time.

My summary is that the range is good enough, but I'm not sure whether I can use it in competition. I will definitely buy some more of this reciever for use in my sunday-fliers. Very good value for the money.

Great receiver

Nov 14, 2007

I have 2 of these on park flyer and a Miracle EPP. Is a long range receiver (no problems with miracle) and no glitch at all. Small and compact. Only the crystal is normal size (a bit big size). Excellent for this price!

Perfect for my depron project!

Nov 14, 2007

I ve put this on my depron bipe(TROLL -amjd.ch).

Run as expected indoor but what was my surprised when, tested outdoor I could fly at higher range than my usual micro receiver!

I guess it have as good range as popular and expensive brand!!!

I dont see any point in paying 3-5 times the prices for an equivalent Dual Conv. Receiver.

simply Great!!!!

Well...

Nov 14, 2007

First i was surprised, that the receiver was so light and small, that I could fit it everywhere in my models. But the sensitivity of the receiver is not so good, and interference is allways present eventhoug I placed the receiver a far as possible from motor/bec. Functions are slow and I do not have 100% trust for it.
