RD820 is the lightest (only 9.5g) 8-channel, full range, and ultra narrowband Dual Conversion receiver. Decoded by the onboard microprocessor, the resolution reaches 1024 in order to adapt to the tightest dead band of the digital servo and accurate servo (usually 1ìs only). Compared with Single Conversion receiver, Dual Conversion receiver can reject the mirror frequency more effectively if they have the same components and use the same DSP algorithm. Thus, it gets more reliability. For adjacent channel interrupt (with the transmitters of channe50, 51, 52, 53 working together, and not far way form them), RD680 can reject it more effectively. According to the understanding the modern electronic industry of CORONA, the size and weight of RD820 are the smallest. Special design of the full range and full performance can let you install it on most of the 3D CCPM helicopters, 3D fix-wing plane, and park flyer easily, as well as the glider, the large-scale glow plane. In addition, RD820 can deal with the busy flight situation, and guarantee the safety of the fly.
See the RD 680 User Guide for more details.

RD820 Dual Conv. 8CH Receiver

Nov 14, 2007

Have two of these, used on different channels (63 & 74)and have used them at a field where single conversion receivers regularly glitch, with no issues after about 20 flights. Rating would be 5 star except for Xtal location effectively increasing size of Rx and apparently poor Xtal availabilty.

Tested: RD820 Dual Conv. 8CH R

Nov 14, 2007

I bought two of these receivers togheter with crystals and had one set sent to Thomas Scherrer for testing. He found two potential issues with it:

1) A transmitter on any channel (61-80) can cause blocking if it is really close (less than 5m).

2) Although it is a dual conversion receiver, it has receives also on a mirror frequency of 38.1 MHz (if using 35.1 MHz crystal).

For further details, see:

http://www.webx.dk/rc/RX-measurements/Corona-RD820-DS/CoronaRD820.htm

Thomas has also tested a lot of other receivers. The results are available on-line at:

magnfico receptor

Nov 14, 2007

Magnfico receptor, muy ligero y fiable 100%.

Lo recomiendo en veleros con motor elctrico. Nunca he tenido interferencias con la electrnica (motor-variador-batera) ni prdida de seal a distancias considerables (300-400 mts.)

RD820

Nov 14, 2007

This is a great receiver! Too bad they dont have it in stock more often! The only

weakness is that the antenna exit is sharp

and will destroy the antenna unless you attend to it.

2nd generation - good news for

Nov 14, 2007

I have bought and tested three new RD820II receivers and I am happy to say that minor problems with channel 1 output are gone (see my review for RD820 above). I have tested several ESCs without any problem - JETI SPIN, JETI JES, HXT 18 and 36, Towerpro 18.
