I've been looking for a lightweight tail retract for a while so bought two of these when I found them on the HK site. They seem robust enough for their size and the retracting mechanism works very well indeed. The whole design is excellent AND SO IT SHOULD BE - IT'S A DIRECT COPY of the Robarts .60 size tailwheel retract. I've no idea whether this is a rip-off, an authorised copy or what, but if you look at the pdf of the Robarts version on their website you will see that this one is identical.
There are one or two areas where it could be better. A flat on the UC leg for the steering arm for instance, and a diagram of how it all fits together and the function of the thin wire provided with it. Of course looking at the Robarts pdf shows exactly how it's assembled, but there are at least three different and workable ways of doing it. The bends in the leg to house the wheel are far too acute but can easily be flattened out a bit to put the wheel directly under the vertical of the leg, and thus not affect the true running of the wheel.
Great VFM, great quality, but a big question mark over it's authenticity.

It's okay a Robart copy that works great.
Keeps the tail weight light when you put te servo around the LG
Ment for 1m60 span or so

ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo
io l'ho montato nel mio mig 3 autocostruito aa 140 cm
il meccanismo a "ginocchio" funziona e blocca molto bene, azionabile tramite un piccolo servo tipo HXT900. 5 corone per questo.
la molletta in dotazione molto utile ma troppo morbida "serve per mantenere in posizione centrale il carrello" l'ho sostituita con acciaio armonico da 0.8 mm pi adeguata al mio scopo aereo sotto i 2 kg di peso. sostituito anche il Control Arms con uno in alluminio per avere un'ottimo bloccagio. quattro corone per questo.
ottime possibilit di allegerirlo, allego qualche foto come spunto nella sezione files
mia valutazione generale 5 corone pi che meritate.
