Very could intention, but error by design

May 11, 2020

I bought a few of them. One of them was not functioning at all, the shaft was not turning at all. The other ones had a lot of housing vibrations and made a lot of noise. Another one died after a few hours of operation, either the electronics or the motor burned through.I opened it and found the problem being a housing which is to tied for the gear, so that the gear wheels are scratching on the housing. This is creating the Vibration and the noise and after a few hours of operation either the gear teeth are gone or the gear stucks and cause a possible motor/electronics overheat.
If you grind two openings into the housing the gear runs free and you get a very nice and extremly powerful servo, but it is nothing you want to do, if you buy such a product.
I hope the manufacturer will correct this design and also add a second fixation thread to it as well. Fixed with one M3 it is not enough to cope with the torque.
Solving These two issues would give a real powerful and good servo.
