Just because you may have outgrown your Legos and Erector sets does not mean the fun has to stop. Introducing RotorBits, the modular construction set of endless possibilities. Based on the idea of standardized connections and dimensions, the only limit to what can be built is your imagination.

The RotorBits QuadCopter is an ingenious adaptation of the RotorBits modular parts, to create a unique simplistic take on the popular multi-rotor. The carbon arms and glass filled nylon molded parts make this as durable as it is simple. The brightly colored quad center plate has 45x45mm integrated mounting posts for the flight controller and various provisions for adapting other accessories and bits. The landing skids have a zip-tie breakaway design and moon lander rounded cup feet for ground skimming fun. The simplistic modular idea makes assembly a snap, bringing fun back to a sometimes over complex idea.

RotorBits components can be interchanged between multiple projects, allowing you to mix and match to your heart's content! As your collection of Bits grows and concepts evolve, you'll find that the possibilities are endless. Who knows what you'll come up with next! RotorBits is an idea that can never be outdated, only reconfigured.

Very hard to use with anything but the intended holes

Oct 08, 2020

I bought it for something like 8 bucks, it is going for 58 now and that definitely feels like too much for a plastic frame.
One of the arms would not go into its intended slot because it was a little too big :/
Its a fully plastic build, and is actually pretty small(I might have had too high expectations) .
Trying to attach motors and controllers not explicitly the exact size was very hard, ended up having to drill it, which reduced structural stability.

RotorBits Quad Kit

Jul 26, 2017

Bought this kit for just over $6.00 during the last sale and so far quality looks really good.
A question to the community:
Apart from the DST motors, could anyone else recommend other motor options for this frame?
I don't intend to do any type of racing but more just some hovering and light flying.
Looking to not spend too much and more wanting an average motor.
Cheers
G

No holes, Cant mount all types of motors.

May 18, 2017

I was very excited about this product but when it arrived I got sad. I head to drip the holes on the frame my self.. the motor mount only supports one type of motor.. I can't recommend this to anyone. There are many better options in this price range.

Really you cannot beat this frame, its big and light. Not to mention crash resistant and if you break something you can make parts or buy them from the spares area ing rotor bits.

Quite a good beginner quad copter build but build with caution, the carbon fibre booms are really cheap in construction, they are like wood they are strong one way but the other way it just splits, so i upgraded to aluminium and now after multiple crashs its still going strong. Overall great little kit the motor holes does limit what you can upgrade to though they have 3 holes on the motor mount, while a dji 450 or clone has 4.
