Super simple to build, fun to fly - Hard to break! These three things sum up the EPP 3d Sbach.

Constructed out of super resilient EPP and reinforced with carbon to add torsional stiffness to the fuselage, wings and control surfaces - this 3D'er will take the rough and tumble from the budding 3d pilot whilst also being pleasing to fly for the experienced 3D wizard!

Assembley out of the box is both quick and accurate, perhaps approximately an hour to assemble, install the radio system and esc.

The model includes a 1250kv outrunner motor and a 9x5 GWS style propeller which provide great power without the need for future upgrades.

Just had my Maiden Flight and was very pleased with it. Even with 100g over the recommended build weight, the motor is more than strong enough to pull this 3D plane through the sky. It is my 1st 3D plane, I'm really looking forward to learning to do all the kewl stunts and 3D maneuvers.

Only 4 stars on quality, as the hinge lines were a bit 'paper thin' and I had to squeegee hot glue on them to reinforce them. I also had to trim out a lot of garbage from the hinge lines as they were not cleanly don. The tail section was also not cut at a 90 degree angle to the body, where the Stabilizer glues on.

I had to add 57g of weight to the nose, despite using CA to glue the entire plane together. The hot-glue didn't add that much weight behind the CG, but it is still tail-heavy as everyone else has described. I may be changing the prop-saver to a Spinner, as I have found that even the heavy duty faucet 'O' rings seem to break really easy.

After having my Maiden Flight, I can say that I am very pleased that I purchased this plane. If you are just getting into 3D flying, this is a good plane to start with. If your just learning to fly, DON'T START HERE. While it's a great plane and responds to even the slightest movement of the control surfaces, it's not a STARTER PLANE for a novice pilot!

Over-all, great plane for a 1st 3D experience.

Really quick and easy to build, though, very annoying when the black ink comes off on your hands and ends up smudged everywhere, surprised no-one else has mentioned this

Hello guys , Amazing bird . She is the best plane for 3d beginers . Very crash resistant , crashed it thrice so badly , still it flies like a charm ! Trust me guys plane is so TAIL heavy . Am using the stock setup with 2200 3s Battrey . Able to perform full vertical and flight time about 12min . Guys make sure you use an battery not less than 1500-2200 mah .

Add a foam strip half inch to an inch to the trailing edge of the aileron and it flies fantastic.
OTB it tip stalls easily at slow speeds or 3D

This plane was bought as a PNP, it is very tail heavy. After adding 3/4 oz on the nose it flew better but I am not impressed. I would not tell a friend about this plane.

very shirt time required to be in flight, nice looking, good flight performances, just a little on the heavy side (around 600g with 3s rhino 1350 e 10g lead to achieve right balance).

Plus :
- very good price
- nice looking
- good motor (but need a 9x3.8 , the 9x5 supplied make a too high load)
- good performances even in windy days
- very strong and capable of taking abuse

minus:

- poor undercarrige
- mobile part of elevator need to be reinforced , as it is supplied flex at high speed and in tight manouvres
- weight a little on the high side

4 star, would be 5 if weight could be 500g

Very durable, cheap but too heavy.

My weights in at 490g without battery e.g. 600 g with a 1300mah and a 30A esc which is too heavy for this plane type and wing area. Gives high stall speeds and suddens stalls. Needs to be flown quite fast. Go for a light setup or better a lighter plane such as the Reaktor or a larger wing area as the Yak 55 1096mm.

After finishing the assembly of this plane I have had the bad surprise to discover its final weigth with a 3 cells 1000 mAH battery : 527 g. Far from the 420-490g announced on HK website. The owner's manual announces 530-560g.The website should rather display these values..

I made the first flights the morning and I am finally very statisfied about this purchase :
-Despite it weigth it can fligh high angled knife edges veeeery slowly, it makes hovers surprisingly easely and it does not have any hazardous reactions.
- Due to its weigth it is easier to land than all my other 3D planes, good surprise
- I changed the genuine propeller that made a strange noise at full throttle (despite the fact I balanced it) With a 9x6 APC slow fly. The result is perfect and powerful : 27 Amps.
-It does not have in flight the majesty of my fantastic HK 1.22m Edge 540 T but is has very good flight possibilities, can land on its belly in grass and is the perfect match for afterwork flights anywhere.
I fully recommend
