Better than expected. Good Quality.

Very nice motors. I switched my Turnigy D2206-2600KV with these motors on my lightweight 5 inch racequad. (4s, hobby, no competition)
Just flew about 10 lipo packs.
Result: Feels like flying with a 1Ah Lipo instead of a 1.3Ah lipo. Still got enough power with its N52 magnets.
Top speed is better than with the 2206 2600kv motors with a lot less voltage sag.
It's still pretty snappy because of the lower weight.
I fly with DalProp Cyclone 3 Blade 5051 Props. Next, I will try some 2 Blades.
4s 1,3Ah 65c Graphene, flight time about 2:30 minutes, max 70-80Ah peak. Temperature outside 6°C. Motors not warm at all. So, I am unable to say anything about my setup flying in a higher temperature environment, but I think that won't be a big problem.
Be carefull, I wouldn't try to put some heavy props on these little motors.
There is one bad thing: The Prop nuts are made of Aluminum. I already destroyed a nut by tightening it to much.
On the other hand, that makes it impossible to damage the motor shaft.
Bearings seems to be good. Time will tell, but in my experience It's more luck than anything else. I got very impensive motors with bearings that cost more than one of these motors each and they don't live any longer that some of the cheaper motors I got from hobbyking.

Mighty mini?

Jul 24, 2018

When i first got this motor i was surprised, not because of it sleek looks, but of how small it was. I thought that this ,might not perform, but later i found that, THIS IS AMAZING! I was just testing the motor in my hand, and it wasn't just lifting my hand, it was pulling my arm, this motor can easily lift 800g, on a 3 CELL. So over all i would would highly recommend this motor for any type of flying, but mainly racing!

Be aware that mounting holes are M3 12 X 16. It will not fit into standard 1806 M2 mounting holes on many frames.

broke 2 motor shafts in one weekend. not hard crashes either, tumbled through long grass. the BE1806 take much more of a beating. i do like the higher KV motor for 4in props but if they keep snapping shafts ill have to find something else.
