Be aware that the plastic casing can crack on 8 to 10 kg model as happened with mine. Better use metal case retracts. Also the screw is too small in diameter and can snap easily as happened with mine.very good quality for price, large and srongI have this nose retract on 3,5kg, 1,5m wingspan T34 Mentor. The pin, where you attach the strut is made from aluminium, and I have bent two of them... I can't imagine what would 12kg plane do to it, but my 3,5kg plane has bend two. I am flying on grass field, so it does have harder job becouse it is not as smooth as tarmac. First one I bent becouse of preety hard landing. I ordered new retract, and the last time I was flying I bent it again on normal landing. It was perfectly good landing, but as it rolled on the field it hit a bump, and the pin is bent again. now the retract cant close anymore.
It would be indestructible if it would have steel pin, where you attach strut leg. I am thinking to get this pin macined from steel.
Otherwise it is very smooth, and beside that aluminum pin, I like it.
But I seriously doubt that it can handle 12kg plane.
Super produit.
Excellent, powerful retracts. Are made qualitatively, end switches work accurately. Aboard the plane yet I didn't put, but I measured effort to PIN - pulls about 20 kg.
LADO for 200 dollars not work at 5 kg. and through 10 landings to soil all kinematics becomes loose. I think that these retracts it is confidently possible to put on 12 kg. plane. I apologize for my English. The best retracts at this price/
