Spyder Hex Base for Beast Class Hex

I purchased this frame to modify it to X class components to get close to 10:1 thrust to weight as a weekend freestyle Acro flyer strictly for fun fly...I had to move the middle arms to the front, and put Back arms on the middle, and buy a 1M 30mm CF tube cut in half to extend the back arms to upgrade this frame from 10" props to 13"X12" MasterAirscrew 3x power propellers. then added different 30mm motor mounts. this will make it rear heavy with regard to the stock landing gear. but man does this turn into a beautiful beast class hex. Hobbyking has been a great experience for me as a consumer in the US and I would buy from them again! thanks!

Good quality kit at a good price. Only reason for 4 stars on overall value is that your really limited on what motors you can use due to the size of the motor mounts and shorter overall diameter of the hex. Your pretty much limited to 10" props and most likely 4S batteries. The only motors I found that fit these mounts and runs on 6S are the Sky-Hero X2815 - 470kv motors. Only problem with those motors is you need to run 12" or 13" props to really maximize it's output lol. I'm actually going to use those motors and extend the arms by 100mm each so I can go up to a 13" prop and run 6S. Might add retracts also :)
