good performance for the price

May 31, 2021

I put this in my Dynamic 1500 glider with a Foxeer Camera. I flew it 400 feet up and 1km away. The radio lost signal and I lost control of the plane for like 5 seconds but the video was still very clear which means this VTX's signal was very strong and much stronger than the radio's. The plane spiraled down and I almost crashed but because the video was still working I was able to regain control and bring the airplane back up immediately. I used a 4-clover antenna which really improved the range (the stock black antenna doesn't have much range). Very good performance for the price. My only complaint is that it is somewhat heavy (because of the metal case), but other than that it performs very well.

Worked very well - for about 45 minutes before it just stopped outputting any RF. Was using 2S power and SpiroNets.

Excellent transmitter. I get a bit better range than Fatshark 600mW transmitter with the same antenna.

Well maybe I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I wanted to use the multi coloured cable for my board camera and audio from the Vector. The plug is wired BACKWARDS!! Watch out and solder the power etc in the order that is on the diagram. The Gopro loom is correct but I don't use a gopro. I hope I havn't damaged it although I get video now that I've wired it up properly. Silly me for thinking red was positive and yellow was video :/

500mW is about ideal power when running next to a 2.8 Rx, any higher and you could risk flooding your 2.8 Rx and possibly lose control.

Don't waste your money on a 1W or 1.5W as there is little gain in actual range.

Easiest and best way to increase range is a good VRX and a good set of antennas.

Very nice little transmitter., works fine for fatshark stuff,

Has with a RP-SMA, one with the pin , so make sure you get the correct antenna, as there is a standard whip one, haven't even used it, went strait to a circular polarised antenna.

good range so far, cant say what the range is for definite because no long range transmitter gear, but i never had a problem so far, probably more range than my 2.4ghz can go

gets fairly warm when not flying, eg for testing, little worried but when flying with airflow over it, doesn't seem to be a problem.

Very small footprint on the frame, currently using it on a 250 sized mini FPV quad with an antenna extension cable.
